Did you know there was an annual red – hair day and some serious festivities held in Holland’s city of Brenda? I sure didn’t but that only doubled my pleasure at the ginger sight of all that natural beauty!
I’m a simple girl, I have simple, natural pleasures. And seeing all those natural red heads celebrating the beauty of being red haired is so simple, so pure, so lovely I can’t overlook! I wouldn’t mind having a blond hair day, a brunette hair day. Why not? Natural hair colored people all over the world, unite! Let’s celebrate! (so how about it, Adriana, were you at it?) (via)

I’ve been there once yes, the first time!! Together with another redhead. There has been a Redhead Day in the 80’s organised by a Dutch broadcast station. Only real redheads where aloud to get in. There was also a Miss Redhead pageant show. No, I didn’t dare to compete. Far to shy at the time. And behind the iron fences people stared at us if we were apes. LOL! And we all admired each other and we were amazed how divers we were. Red hair is far more accepted than back then. I was amazed when Nicole Kidman showed up freckled and all in a movie!! I’ve been called names…..ouch…..but my motto is: I’m a ginger and I say it loud and proud! :))
