There’s something too “perfect” about Louis Vuitton’s Fall Winter 2010 2011 ad campaign. One blonde girl (Natalia Vodianova), one brunette (Christy Turlington) and one redhead (Karen Elson). Tons and tons of Louis Vuitton bags, shoes and clothes. A serious dose of elegance.
The girls look flawless, the mirror set is retro glamorous, just as the entire collection. Diversity, luxury, Marc Jacobs really nailed it all. Too bad he’s not the mirror master as well. There’s a particular photo in which Natalia Vodianova puts her hand on her chest. Naturally, the mirror should follow. Unless there’s a nasty photoshop tool involved. Now why would they do that? hmmmmm, photoshop disaster, the second picture in the mirror, the Nataliya left hands is not in the same place as in the reflection!! What do you think?
Agree! Looks like a different shot. What we should see is in fact her embroidery on her waist right? Yes, photoshopped to the max but still: WOWSA!
Maybe it’s because I love Karen’s album that much……
a 50ies revival…. soooooo boring…
why try to make women look like that ??? we live in such a different society..
It’s the second 50’s revival in my lifetime by the way. I remember the 80’s; all those 50’s themed parties. So boring. Could it be MJ was inspired by Mad Men? I “blame” this great series for this too.
Further, “too perfect” in fashion is what it is. Everything and everyone is so perfect. I really should take a break from the internet because the real world is so different.
Well, I like it. These are probably the most beautiful LV bags until now.
Aww, Nat that’s true! LOL I was to busy checking out the photoshop and the dresses….that purple/lilac bag in the first photo and black/brown one with Christy on the third photo are great now if only they sewed the logo inside…..
I do own now six pairs of RayBan’s with the logo removed from the glasses. People are shocked. LOL! They are not “real RayBans” now….pfff…..they are, still affordable for such great quality and they all suit me. I have my eye on another pair….:)
Back to topic: I’m in awe by the flowery dress Karen wears in the first photo. So lovely, would look nice on me. :)
“Would look nice on me.”
Haha :)
Though I’m a boy, I really wouldn’t care to carry one of those wonderful bags.
Yeah.
The logo is too large (Cinéma bag).
But what a beautiful collection.
Where large pictures of the bags can be found? I’m in for details.
I adore it! It brings to my mind Dior’s New Look and the glamour and the style of that time.
Such lovely dresses I would love to wear them all! :)
