Have I already told you I love Missoni? Something about their knitted ways and iconic print makes them more powerful than a thousand LV monograms to me.
Naturally, Iām not the only one who thinks their prints are gold! Artek, the founding company of the Aalto Armchair (The Tank chair) designed by Alvar Aalto has initiated an anniversary project called āDress the Chairā! Artek & Missoni have worked together on two armchairs and a stool, fashioning them up with the Missoni Kew, Leigh and Chevron prints. (the story continues right after the jump with more images! Click here for the gallery!)
The designs were first exhibited in Milan and from there on, the chairs will travel to New York, Sydney, Tokyo, Helsinki. More designers will join the project and will be unveiled as a new town exhibition is opened; all the fashionably outfitted chairs will be the object of a hometown exhibition, in Helsinki. Wouldn’t you like those beauties chez vous? (Artek via TMagazine)

Ellington, I just think of the word stellar. Absolutely want it in my room .
I missed this one. That’s indeed a great chair. Looks great and cheerful. The stool is cute too. For sure it would lighten up a room. Oh, if I only had the bank-account…..:swoons:
