Nancy Sinatra These Boots Are Made For Walkin’

Now this was one of my favorite songs growing up! Nancy Sinatra’s immortal hit These Boots Are Made For Walkin’ always felt so empowering and so thundery, I just couldn’t resist dancing through.

I want to thank you for being here with me day after day, week after week! It’s so wonderful knowing you near! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and that you’re starting a new, amazing week! I wish you do! Enjoy Nancy Sinatra’s These Boots Are Made for Walkin! (more right after the jump!)

Though it might sound strange to the young/er generation already used to Jessica Simpson’s cover (you can watch it here), this song was originally written by and for Lee Hazlewood and performed by Nancy Sinatra in 1966. It became so popular and so loved, the troops marching in Vietnam were singing it too! (now put that next to Jessica Simpson’s kitty-like voice and raunchy/bad dancing from The Dukes of Hazzard song and you’ve got yourself a moral dilemma, even if the honorable Willie Nelson also appears in the above mentioned video).

However, the song has been covered and re-interpreted so many times by so many performers, Jessica’s version is just one of the many. Let us not forget that even Banderas took upon himself to render These Boots Are Made for Walkin’ for Shrek 2, as The Puss in Boots. (you can watch it here). Which one would be your favorite?

This one of course! The one and only. I’ve albums of the former couple Nancy Sinatra/Lee Hazlewood. Love their music.
Pantless-ness can look cute noticed that?
Kpriss, thanks. Great start for a new week: “Are you ready boots? Start walking…..”
Can’t stand it the end is so short……:))
