Emma Watson makes it though another magazine cover: this time it’s Vogue! Teen Vogue, but Vogue nevertheless! She’s the August 2009 cover girl, under the code “Emma Enchanted”.
Oh, I know (at least) our dear friend Ellington’s gonna believe I couldn’t resist the temptation! (I honestly tried, I did! I spent four days contemplating these pictures and asking if they’re relevant! That’s gotta count for something, right?) (the story continues with more pictures and a video right after the jump!)
I think I finally know why I was into Emma Watson without any reserves or justifications: because of her Hermione role (duh!). She successfully impersonated a geek! And there was no shame about it! I was a geek myself, in my scholar days. And thought nothing could glam up (or charm) the geek posture ever, never! Well, Emma did! And that’s why I like(d) her!
Of course she goes on about her “fashion” sense insisting on how normal she is, wearing Topshop jeans and Ralph Lauren t shirts on a daily routine, but oh, we know best, don’t we! Whoever has been touched by Kaiser’s magic (and his Wee bear lol) can’t go on living like before! She was fash-enlightened! Had her Burberry epiphany in 2008 and there she goes, one year later, as their spokesface in the fall 2009 ad campaign. Will she take the entire 2010 chez Chanel?
Back to Emma Enchanted from Teen Vogue August 2009 – I don’t think it suits Emma at all. In fact, she should keep that uni-path she’s keen on following, it could serve her better than fashion. Geeks shall be geeks! (1, 2)

Why even bother commenting?
You are so gone on Emma that there is no point in saying anything.
; )
I like the outfits she is wearing but I find her a tad stiff in these photos and not at all natural.
I was a geek girl (still am)but I do not see myself proclaimed geek in her at all.
Maybe you should start a separate blog devoted to the wonderful Emma? : )
Really? My gosh, I LOVE these looks on Emma!
lol! Oh, Ellington, I knew I’ll make your day!
Let’s make a deal: for every Watson article, you give me like a mission: writing an article about someone of your choosing/pleasing! What say you?
Sal, really, she looks awkward in at least half the pictures. Like she really doesn’t fit or belong there. Uncomfortable, almost blushing, how can one make Haute Couture when so shy?
Deal! Let us see at last count you have had about 3 articles on Emma Watson, so I get three picks!!!
HUZZAH!
I will email you the details!
The maybe ridiculous or they maybe sublime but they will be fun!
: )
I like those outfits and styling, actually and setting. But yes, she looks stiff.
LOL! Come on Ellington give us something another geek like me also loves? Though this geek has been often imitated….?? Now I’m so flattered back then I hated these girls.
Yeah, why do good girls always loves bad boys? (See cover.)Can Teen Vogue release me then?
Sorry it’s about Emma….the clothes and those are very, very desirable…..I’ve read Emma wants to stop with acting and go to university.
GORGEOUS!! Love her! She always looks amazing in everything.
Teen Vogue seems to get it perfect every time Emma appears in their magazine. So much creativity and thought went into these looks. I love it. She doesn’t look stiff. She looks sophisticated and amazing.
