It’s the year of the Barbie! If the Kaiser has a mini-me Ken doll besides dressing up the Barbie, we absolutely have to check our watches and set it all on the Barbie hour!
Of course it’s one thing to celebrate Barbie’s year in the privacy of your own playground and a completely different one to wear it before the world! Piers Atkinson’s hats collection for this fall is called “The Princess and the Frog” and has very little to do with Disney’s upcoming animation movie! (the story continues after the jump!)
Wearing a crazy, undressed Barbie as a hat could be less eye damaging than a Kermit cagoule or a fun moment with both Ken and Barbie undressed, gymnastique-ing in rose leafs! I could, however, do the Mickey Mouse eared hat! But the young UK born and based designer Piers Atkinson turned these hats into veritable work of at! Which one of Piers Atkinson‘s madhats would you wear (I really love the model – Rebecca Grover-Jones! All those faces she makes? Irresistible!) (via)

I hope that I see some of these millinery designs at Ascot! : )
Woah those are some crazy hats!
Those are great fun and yes, Ascot came to my mind as well. Very suitable for Barbie’s Birthday Year.
Is the American Kentucky Derby a bit eccentric? I guess not as fun as only the English can?
It would make my day if I saw someone at Ascot wearing one of those ☺
This is FANTASTIC, it’s like Elisabeth Blow (may she rest in peace) is still alive. She would make a great campaign about these hats. A compliment to the designer Mr. Atkinson but also and I have to admit Kpriss you have a great taste, to the model. I once said MariaCarla Boscono is a woman with thousend faces but she can compare with her. Lets face it English are sometimes excentric, but the beauty and the innovative designs you can’t ignore.
