Lenny Kravitz, The Photographer From Vogue Russia April 2009

A celeb taking another celeb’s picture is such a privileged position, I can hardly open my eyes to its artistic downside. If there would be one.

Lenny Kravitz was not just playing nice for the cover of the Russian Vogue, he was also featured inside: Lenny Kravitz inside! Lenny Kravitz the Photographer! By publishing the celeb portraits he took, Lenny must expect some kind of appreciation. Or not? (the story continues right after the jump. Don’t miss the gallery with Lenny Kravitz photographs from Vogue Russia April 2009!)

Beyonce by Lenny Kravitz

Playing with emotions but not as much as playing with celeb faces, Lenny Kravitz’ photography eludes me (I wish I could understand the notes from each picture! Sadly, there’s no Google Translate for photos – the least I could do is conclude he discovered his inner photographer in 2008: all the pictures were dated 2008).

Alicia Keys by Lenny Kravitz

It’s not uncommon for a celeb to cross over and paint their entire life in artistic colors, pretend (and even succeed for some) the Muses accompany every aspect of their blessed existence. Are we blessed with Lenny Kravitz photographer eye? (photos via tfs)

I like the photos too. Lovely to see Doutzen and her love. That girl is madly in love with this guy, sorry forgot his name, whose Lenny’s cousin.
My faves photos are Lionel Ritchie and Joss Stone.

Some of the photos are rather nicely done. I like black and white photographs.
If Brian Adams can style himself as a photographer, why can’t Lenny?
But deka is right, I do miss his music and wish he’d produce some again soon.
