Halle Berry’s Harper’s Bazaar May 2009

This is a cover that fits Halle Berry like a glove! So does the interview! Harper’s Bazaar got all there was in Halle and put it into their May issue.

Starting with the eye-hurting pink cover you can find on the newsstand (luckily, the subscribers cover was substantially different), carrying on with the interview where her arrogance and shallowness breathe through every byte of given information, Halle Berry’s Harper’s Bazaar is just as easy as spring breeze. (the story continues right after the jump! Don’t miss the gallery with Halle Berry’s pictures from Harper’s Bazaar May 2009!)

Halle Berry Harper s Bazaar May 09 cover

Halle Berry Harper s Bazaar May09 pink cover Nothing to really hang on to, nothing to really highlight, the pictorial uses a metaphor that was invented for Halle: the soap bubble.

That’s what I get with Halle. What do you get? (it’s just me, or her hair makes her look older than she really is?)

I’d read somewhere something I support so much: I’d rather see candid shots of beautiful Halle than this posed and bad photoshopped photos!
Arrogance and shallowness? At least she not pretentious!

I read the article Kpriss and I did not find Halle shallow or arrogant at all? How did you read that into what was asked and answered? Really, could you elaborate on that statement?
This cover photo of her is not doing her any favours though. Its a bit too bubble gum pink for me and I have seen her hair styled much nicer.
Oh by the way, I did get some of her new perfume and I find it lovely. What I did like about what she said when interviewed about it and the price point is that she wanted it to be affordable for anyone. It is not over priced, and it does not smell cheap.

It may seem too judgmental, but when you take her answers (or references) about her man, you’ll see she’s talking about him like he’s some kind of trophy (her answer about her mojo, her remark about golf). She started the interview the same way she ended it – by talking about her partner in a selfish manner. I thought partnership (of any kind) was about reciprocity. And I don’t get that from her.

Not here. So that’s what I found arrogant and shallow about her. I’m over sensitive when it comes to respect and authenticity in a relationship.

I like Halle’s physical appearance. But I think she has to work more on her diplomacy. Or on her perception about herself in front of the world.

Oh. I actually found what she said in regards to what you found shallow and arrogant, rather funny.
But to each their own.
Thanks for responding! : )

At my first encounter with her interview I was visibly more sensitive than I was now, when I read it again. I have to keep in mind that all things media are mostly fabrications and not take things personal.

My pleasure, I enjoy a good debate ;)
