Special times need special measures. The University of Washington’s Environmental Design class experiment with a new kind of retail experience: the anti-retail.
Trying to convince us that saving money through retail is a possibility, the Washington University Students have issued a “Do You Really Need It?” campaign, imagining a virtual store with virtual clothes.
Each t-shirt has an economic-healthy message on: Swap clothes with your friends to keep your wardrobe fresh; Buy and sell your clothes at garage sales and so on. Should there be classes with economy-safe “Want” courses? (via)

Noting new, just like the “old days”.
Further, customize your clothes, take sewing lessons and be creative yourself.
Though by spend some money we do support the economy of course!
Most things we ‘need’ in the West are superfluous. I think that this is a good idea to maybe make us aware. Its good to have a balance of things and spending but its also good to support the economy.
Finding a balance between want and need is key.
