How about that? Queen Bee is one busy Bee this month! Not only she’s the first black girl to have graced a Vogue black cover consequently (following The First Lady, Michelle Obama), but she’s also featured in the Italian Vogue.
If you were expecting Sasha Fierce for the US Vogue, you were disappointed and delighted in the same time since she’s only doing Beyoncé for that cover, and what a beautiful Bee she does! Now if you were expecting to see another Beyoncé for this Vogue Italy, you’ll be more disappointed than pleased… (don’t miss the rest of the story, check out the gallery with Beyoncé’s pictures from Vogue Italy)
Parting her photoshoot between a cold, lifeless statue of Marilyn Monroe (wonderful, true, but still a statue), a studied Tyra Banks and Etta James, Bee fails to impress me with this Italian Spread. Does blonde Beyoncé have a hold on you?

No! I prefer the Vogue US cover and shoot. I like the smiling Beyoncé on the photo on the right but that’s it.
And why did they made her skin look lighter?
I prefer the US Vogue version and cover too, but she is lovely and photogenic. : )
Lights can do so many things to a photo! I don’t think they’ve lighten her skin on purpose. Maybe they just adjusted the brightness for the scenery..
I too prefer the Vogue version. I’m not a big fan of Italian Vogue’s photo style..
They’ve styled her in a very weird way. She just looks weird.
