This has got to be filed as another one of those bad Herve Leger cases… Jessica Stroup, one of the new 90210 girls wears a purple/blue/green bandage dress with a bandage-rose detail.
If that rose wasn’t there, the dress still would’ve had its chances. But with that gray bandage budding up from underneath the skirt and matching gray sandals she did a mediocre appearance. Not that 90210 did better for the awards, but for out eyes sake, wasn’t she safer wearing something else? (photos via justjared)
UPDATE: I just received a tip about Jessica’s ring and earrings – they’re signed by Jude Frances and you can see the pieces in detail right after the jump! (thanks, Emily!)

Oh dear. I kinda love this – shoes included. Have I lost my edge?!?
She’s got the body for it.I agree about the rose. The endulating ribbon would have been anough.
I don’t love it nor hate it but I have to say from the side view I though she was wearing dreaded biker shorts. Which gets a resounding “Eww!” from me.
I think Herve Leger’s work is the current currency for a beautiful body or for beautiful-wannabes, thus making the legendary bandage dresses overrated and cliche. That’s why I feel reticent whenever I come across another Herve Leger on the Red Carpet.
Oh, and those shoes? Was it necessary to match the ribbon and the shoes?
jessica stroup is a beautiful girl but i think that in order to wear a dress like this, you need more of a body. if jessica would fill out a little bit and get some curves, she would look much better and healthier and this dress would look a lot better. i love the dress but i think it looks the same on her as it would on the hanger. i know it’s hard to gain weight sometimes but jessica would be even more beautiful with a few extra pounds.
