Rei Kawakubo’s Comme des Garçons interpretation on high street fashion in collaboration with Hennes and Mauritz is finally out (in stores from November 13th).
You can see the ads everywhere, you can even see the Sartorialist opining about the line. And Missy Rayder. I won’t get into the oratorical details, you can have all the fun (all you need to do is pay a little attention to their speech). I’ll get into the great gesture made by H&M – bringing haute couture to a fast fashion price tag is amazing and highly inspirational. And those polka dots, aren’t they lovely?

I like the collection and I feel its going to be a sell out. Rei K has the uncanny ability to make the clothes look quirky yet classic.
The suits and THAT black trenchcoat are going to sell like hot cakes!I’d like one myself.
This is the first designer collaboration with H&M I really like. I’m a bit of polkadot lover but in a small dosis.
I shall not run to H&M to get a piece. But if it was easy to get a piece for sure I would try to get one these……
It looks like another win for H&M and the designer they have chosen for this bout. I agree with Adriana, like this collection much better than the one by the Kaiser, Madge, or Stella MacCartney.
I will not be running out to get any of it though.
They’re great, all their haute fast fashion collections were great. I just think they’re getting out of fashion too fast for the money and the fuss they get!
