Gap Sartorialist Rumors Came True

So the rumors were actually right and the Gap advertorial featuring Mr Scott Schuman (aka the Sartorialist) is a fall-winter 2008 2009 reality.

I get all mixed up when looking at this picture. I’m thinking ‘hey, look at this man! He was a vendor, then a stay at home dad, a blogger/photographer and now he’s like one of the most famous bloggers out there, turned celebrity!’ I don’t know if I should pick at his looks or his manners, his pose or his “inspirational” value. The truth is he’s gone real far, real fast. There are bloggers out there writing with actual inspiration and dedication every day and don’t get that kind of amazement from the world. What makes the Sartorialist so special? His connections or his photographs subjects?

Personally I never bought the Satorialist hype.So he takes pictures of so called trendy people on the street. So what?I did take a look at his blog once and thought it was nothing special.Never went back.I too wonder how he got to where he is today.Probably because he was at the right place at the right time when fashion blogs started brewing and then Vogue got interested in him. This Gap ad with him in it seems tacky to me.Its so…wanabe!

I do not know who he is, and I do not really want to know.

So wannabe what?

I know who he is and I like the blog because he has pretty pictures. Sometimes I’m inspired because I can be a real lazy a*s when it comes to picking out outfits and giving a s*it about how I am presenting myself to the world. Often his blog reminds me throw on a bright scarf to lighten up my day or to just throw on those heels even if there is no special occasion.
