I don’t know about you, but I think it’s a great photo and it almost makes me forget the Gisele cover-disaster. Viktor and Rolf collection has found a brilliant way to integrate in reality through Naomi.
If it wasn’t for the Sorrenti photographic genius, this picture would’ve been completely grey-ish and that’s it. But that sky behind, those buildings and especially Naomi’s posing (I don’t discredit the coat, by all means, it’s at least half of the picture’s value!) make it almost a novel, not an image. Can you read the story between those pixels?

I love the image too.Naomi’s reinvented herself again and looks different. The V&R slogan with the urban jungle backdrop is quite poetic. The prose is mysterious and somewhat chilling.Shattered dreams?
Shattered dreams? Good point. And indeed chilling. We always project our own feelings on the arts. At least I do. My first thought was, sorry I’m not really an optimist at the moment, when is all fall apart? That collar with that broken ‘DRE-AM’, the anxious look in Naomi’s eyes looking upstairs….brrrrrr…..that’s what I read between the pixels. But the photo is a masterpiece. I wonder what Sorrenti meant with it? Just beauty or a message? Whatever its a great phot but dark to look at…….
Now that’s a photo!
Naomi looks amazing and the photo is stellar! It provokes discourse! It could mean a broken dream of course but I like to think that the dream is not broken but can be put back together by doing the coat up. Yes I know I’m a cheesy optimist, but one always has to have hope even when things look dim and foreboding.
that is naomi? no why jose!
i thought that was… what’s her name. ups. ,my bad.

If only more pictures could be like this one! It really tells a story! Even if it’s optimistic (Ellington ;) ) or not (Adriana ;) ), it touches one’s heart and mind.
Pony, who did you thought it was then?
…and I’m one of the persons that doesn’t like Naomi Campbell. I don’t like her La Diva behaviour. The woman annoys me. As soon as I lay eyes on her I begin to think of being spoilt, violent behaviour……nothing positive comes to my mind looking at Naomi Campbell.
Beauty is only skin deep…..
