Mariah Carey makes way for her second perfume (to hit stores in August). An overwhelming Pink, Luscious Pink to embrace your eyes, your nose and your feelings.
I can’t decide what I hate the most. The idea of Mariah-smelling-like or the actual product. Have to say what’s inside, right? : Sicilian bergamot, ocean breeze accord, and so on and so on, best described as “a floral melody that is as enveloping as Mariah’s voice” and sells for $65 (3.3 oz).
I truly think she has a great voice but used poorly. Not to mention her wreck of a life (sincerely hoping she’s putting it all together now with this new marriage!). I do feel a bit disappointed with this overall pink- thing-Paris-Hilton-like.
I wonder if she’ll go on an advertising campaign similar to the one for the first perfume.
Do you think those who buy Mariah’s perfumes are doing so because of her voice?

I am sure her fans will be super excited to get this fragrance!

Honestly, if you don’t love her, you’re not going to buy it. If you’re going to be a lil b about it all and listen to these unprofessional and rude remarks, go ahead knock it before you try it. Fans will never hate on it even if they don’t love it.
Honestly, I went to Macy’s just to smell her first perfume, M, because I’m a huge fan. I loved it. I bought the “gold edition” without a second thought. Cheya is right. If I don’t like the scent, I won’t buy it. But I’m definitely going to go check it out as soon as it comes out!
Why under estimate Mariah? She’s done very well and I’m sure that will be the case with her new perfume. Talking about a scent that hasn’t even been out yet is one thing, but saying she uses her voice poorly? do u listen to the radio at all?
Wow… you use the word hate. One… I think you are a lousy columnist. Two… I think you forget that Mariah is extremely innovative enough to do anything she wants. Three… I hope you take this opportunity to try being a tad more educated and intellectual about your choice of criticism. Maybe you can redeem yourself from writing like such an idiot! I feel sorry for you and hope that you invest your spare time into something else assuming there isn’t another idiot PAYING you for this crap you write.
Kpriss, I seem to be the only here that agree.
The way she uses her voice does annoy me like hell while she has a great voice.
Further I’m sick of celeb lines in whatever.
But I’m not a affected fan of anyone or anything…..
cheya – true enough – if I don’t like it, I won’t buy it. I just expressed my feelings regarding the launch.
clarissa – I happen to be an assiduous music listener and the way she throws her wonderful voice into r’n’b isn’t working any glory for her (except her bank account, of course!)
mimi fan – I use any word I feel suited when I want to express an idea. True enough it could’ve been “dislike” instead of “hate” but I don’t take things as tragic as you seem to do. Mariah’s life and career are the least of my concerns, everyone can do what he/she pleases, as long as it doesn’t hurt others. However, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for stopping by and speaking your mind. It’s priceless. And of course, if you find you can contribute in any way to this site, don’t hold back!
Adriana – it will be “Just the two of us” like that great song says…
