David Beckham Emporio Armani Billboard

Longtime ignoring this news has finally caught me. And not because I gave into the charm of the ad’s face or the ad’s brand, but because it was too hilarious to pass.

David Beckham’s Macy’s Union Square Park (California USA) Billboard had a particular unveiling ceremony on June 18. The masses awaited the strip tease (even on a billboard) and they were rewarded with a ridiculous show. Because I’m not one of those falling apart over men’s muscle mass or tattoos, I look at this Emporio Armani ad and repeatedly ask myself why this is causing such a stir. I understand a heavy percentage of women consider him outstandingly beautiful. I understand he was a successful football player (now who’s watching usa soccer games besides Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes to tell what’s become of his talent). I can even understand this Emporio Armani ripping off the success story of Calvin Klein underwear. But for how long? And how far?

Becks will always be one of the greatests fooball (soccer) players of the world. I loved the way he played footbal.
I think these ads are funny. Mr Metro Sexual Himself strips for us ladies. Thank you Becks. I cannot dislike him…..I find him very attractive especially when he smiles or laughs bright. His smile charms me more than showing all his assests but ah well, look how females get exposed in fashion lately?? I see to much sex like unflatable dolls which I do not find fashionable at al. This looks better and is more fun as I mentioned….

Yes, this is a rip-off of the almost iconic Calvin Klein ads. And how long this can go own? Until people see and realise that a lot in fashion is very much same….???

hahaha! Adriana, you’re completely right! Fashion repeats itself over and over again… sad enough, those photographers don’t see fit to make a model smile when pictured. Oh, well, fashion must be a serious affair ;)

nousha ;) let’s write them a complaint letter, I’m sure they really got some audience with that poster so maybe, maybe, they’ll repeat the story…
