Naomi Watts Angel By Thierry Mugler

I wonder what’s the purpose of having a world-wide-known face to represent your already world-wide-known product…

Naomi Watts is the new face of Thierry Mugler’s Angel perfume. And I would have no objection to that if at least the advertorial would show a familiar Naomi Watts! Instead I’m seeing a blonde unreal waxy face who seems to having troubles breathing when reaching out for some star-shaped something. Don’t believe me? Just look at her sad eyes and weird smile! (then again, lower your eyes and understand all that torment – her highly photoshopped body is aching from all that intensive airbrush (click the image to have a better look).

I love Naomi, but that’s a terrible image of her in that ad. Way too photoshopped and made worse by the technology rather than better!

I’ve always thought Naomi to be a lovely natural beauty. But in the dubious process of making her look “better,” the photoshoppers have rendered her waxy and, I daresay, unattractive.

I’ve become slowly very, very tired to even pay attention to this unrealistic, unhealthy, unnatural etc. nonsense any longer! I’ve stopped buying magazines already because of all these ‘lying ads’ and/or photoshoots a.o. reasons.
I hate lies and lyers and thats what this is to me. I do not wear perfume anymore since a few years. I love the scent ‘human’ since some time now. A fresh well groomed human being of course.

Ah, thats why Naomi wore vintage Mugler at the Met Ball! So it is all commerce, it is all about making money……I adored that dress by the way but sorry PR-people and Naomi, no, no, I’m not going to buy that perfume because of the image of that dress…..
Yes, Naomi is a lovely natural beauty which has been totally ‘killed’ by techniques. And I do wonder too what the purpose is of a world-well-known-face to sell products. It has its effect on me though they have succeed: I’ve been always a passionate film-lover. Some films begin to annoy me that much because the magic of acting and films, even if the actor/actress/movie/director/ is great, has been attached by celeb-mania everywhere! Ugh…….its already announced that
“Gwyneth Paltrow will steal the fashion show in Cannes, with a new film short for Tod’s”. What about the art of film making?

Once I’ve flet home while I was at the festival in Cannes I hated it that much: old men and young beautiful girls hoping to become famous. Stars surrounded by body-guards. It it’s war! All commerce everywhere and we, the film-press were treated as foot-soldiers….ugh…

I’m Loving The Dress But The Ad Is Way To Photoshopped And It Competly Turned Me Off The Perfume, I’ll Stick To My Jack Wills And Avril Lavigne :P <3
