You know we were wondering how the ads will look like (and the perfume smell like) when first hearing that Eva Mendes is the face of the last Calvin Klein perfume.
Well, the print is out. The clip is out, and here we are, still wondering how the clip looks like because it was turned down by TV networks for being to sexy.
Given the explanation for the refusal, that miss Mendes was having a private moment with illicit thoughts I might believe that she’s robbing a bank all naked, wearing Secret Obsession by CK only…
But somehow I don’t think it’s that funny… Anyway, I’m secretly obsessed with Eva’s paycheck for this advertising contract – $5 millions! It really doesn’t surprise me that she’s ready to show/do everything after endorsing that many figures from publicity deals! Have you seen her acting?
UPDATE: I couldn’t keep you asking what was that censored clip about that they just had to pull it off from the TV network. Well, as long as they’ll let it roll on youtube, here it is: (and three more pictures from the print ads. Click thumbnails to enlarge!)

Why do us women have to be seduced to become soft-porn girls? I don’t mind it all in private but I get sick lately of all the sex-sell which is supposed to be fashionable or stylish?
O noes! Eva’s DED! Call the CSI sunglasses guy! Hurry!
(Somebody cloze her i’s fer godsake!)
Forget calling it Obsession… they should have called it Masturbation.
They are always pimping out women this way. It will never change I think.
Its not the nudity that I object to its the implied message and ridiculous soft core porn image that women are “expected” to live up to.
Do you think they could get Eric Bana, Brad Pitt or Denzel Washington to writhe around like Eva does in this ad? No they wouldn’t but that does not mean that I would not like to see it! ; )
@Ellington, in fashion they’ve not always pimping women out this way as is it is as bad the last years. I’ve the feeling its have gone worse with what I’ve named ‘the inflatable doll’ look in fashion shoots. Its Tom Ford’s fault! That’s a running gag between me and a friend. Have you ever seen his fragrance ads? Disgusting!
My friend, who is gay, mocked: “Why doesn’t he have the courage to use a man to pose like this since its a scent for men? Bah!” Even he does see this as women explatation and it angers him too and thinks at the same time if Tom Ford would have used a male it could have been more honest and a good cause for gay acception. In short…..
“Masturbation” I didn’t dare to write that, good for you girl…..hahaha…..I’m going to send him the link of the article and comments right away!
To be honest, I wonder if that bottle isn’t more than a booty representation.. More like a men’s intimate anatomy representation…
I watched that clip and wondered how could one return to normally promoting a perfume after this ad. Remember that pictorial she made for an Italian Vogue? I’m beginning to think that Miss Mendes is keen on exhibitionism…
I love the commercial. I find it very sexy. We see worst in TV every day, even in the red carpet. Commercials for men’s tight underwear leave very little to the imagination and nobody complains. A girl shows niple for a second and is too racy. About Eva’s curves, she has a terrific figure. It looks like she lost weight for these commercials.
I just got here via a link from MrSkin. Seems the above clip is the censored version. The original is said to have featured the sheet slipping down and revealing a bit more than US broadcasters are allowed to show. Think Jackson Superbowl
