I guess fashion is not without a powerful sense of ugliness. All in the name of comfort, trend setters throw a new outrageousness in the game.
Muks. Mukluks. However you want to call them, they’re from the proud line of Ugg-likes. I have noticed them trending around for quite some time and sincerely hoped they’ll self extinguish. Now I come across a piece of news saying that not only they don’t want to be forgotten, but more likely to declare summer invasion with a 2008 Spring-Summer Collection.
I think I’m open minded to style experiments and I even had my fair pair of Uggs. Not trying to raise my voice against Ugg-lies, I just want to ask you if you see the point of wearing boots in plain summer time and if you see the point of wearing boots with fur from the ankle up (when cold, my feet are frozen from the ankle to my toes, not the other way…).

I only have to say Uggs are ugly in winter and summer, they are totally not fashionable. The only thing is they keep your feet warm, but elegant is another story. I also take the freedom to thank you for this fabulous website and the issues/scoops you have. Marvelous Killahbabe, I really adore you.
Thank you, Valerio, your words are very kind and encouraging! Delivering quality work is my pleasure!
I think these Ugg-Muk story has another fierce component – Crock. Fur vs rubber.
I don’t like Uggs that go past much further than the ankle if they’re puffy and if they are not they must be less then or to half the calf and relatively thin.
[…] don’t go just for the elegant look, they’re also drawn by the infamous uggs, the upcoming new uggs – the muks, the elegantless but oh-so-comfy birckenstocks so why not choose a pair of flipflops and change the […]
I don’t care what you guys think about UGGS, I love them! I’ve had mine for two years and recently sent them in to get them clean to this place call cleaninguggs.com and got them back looking awesome again.
I like Uggs, they serve their purpose. I do not wear them in the summer, but in the autumn.
They are warm and comfy and they beat Crocs anyday in terms of looks as far as I am concerned.
Agree Ellington. Uggs where never made as a fashion item but as a practical boot to keep the feet and legs warm in the ice-cold and therefore they are really great.
You are wrong. Uggs were made to wear after you surf. Do your research. They are made to keep your feet toasty after you come out of the cold surf and your feet need some warmth from the torture of the ocean. So for all of you saying they are not for the summer think again. Not all summer waters are warm, they were made in australia by an australian surfer.
