I know you’ve been holding your breath until the next celeb tagged line would appear so I said to myself why make things harder? Here it is:
Kylie Minogue has a new perfume! Busy little bee! After her Kylie At Home furnishing line recently launched, she’s sweetening things up with a little Showtime.
“tantalizing cocktail of wild strawberry, loganberry and blackcurrant leads into an armload of roses, blue freesias, lilacs and tiare flowers spiked with sweet liquorice. All beautifully balanced on magnetic notes of rosewood, white musk and a praline-vanilla accord.”
After understanding mostly nothing from the above press-released description of the Showtime Eau de Toilette please endure me in not understanding the Eau de Parfum:
“sweeter, more voluptuous, fruity-oriental take on the Showtime theme, accentuating its sensuality and magnetism. The top note sings with cranberry, strawberry and blackcurrant, with the harmony supplied by powdery heliotrope while balsamic, iridescent notes pick up the liquorice beat – culminating on the rich notes of creamy toffee, exotic wood and vetiver.”
Do I look like a sadistic? Maybe I am! One because I could never wear a perfume like this, two because I’m not a fan of tagging products with big names “just because” they sell, and I could go on.
But I’ve got to check out with you and your feelings about products like this, especially this new Kylie Showtime. What do you say? Tried it?

I have tried it, and it’s lovely!
Does it matter if a celebrities name is attached to a product if it’s good and you like it? If a celebrity endorses a product, it may initially draw more attention, but if the product isn’t good, then it won’t sell. Simple as that.
i’ve tried it too and i’m definetely going to buy it!! as long as it smells lovely and it suits me, i don’t see the reason not to wear it because it has the name of a celebrity. After all, when the others will smell it on me, i don’t think they wil think “oh, kylie’s perfume”. What matters for me in a perfume is only whether i like it and if it smells good on me (which i think are the most important criteria to the choise of a perfume anyways).
Jen and Sophie you’re both right, people won’t know if it’s Kylie or any other perfume for the matter. They’ll just know that it smells good (on you). And I’m actually glad it smells good (according to you!), at least it’s not a fake product as I’m tempted to believe that all celebrity-related products are…

I’m a big fan of sweet, fruity scent and Showtime is really as good as it gets from that perspective.
It’s very lively and youthful. It’s a good match to optimistic, free-spirited, adventurous personalities.
I bought this as a blind buy because I’m a Kylie fan, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I now wear it everyday as my signature scent.
