I wrote about the advertising campaign from Gucci involving a heart message (Gucci Loves NY) and the products that came along with it.
I’m writing to inform you now that the feedback is not a joyful one. It seems that, as reported by the NY Post:
The only problem is that the company did not get permission to use the New York state logo—even in an altered way—with its iconic red heart and black letters.
I don’t have any idea how the 3.000 and more legal challenges over infringements for this non-authorized usage of the New York’s trademarked slogan filed by the state will end, but I’ll share with you any news I get.
How do you think it’s going to end? Things will get covered up for fashion’s sake, or (and that will be interesting to assist to) all promotional materials will be flushed down for New York’s slogan integrity sake?
