Patrick Demarchelier imagined a simple setting photo shoot to bring the most important catwalk spring-summer 2008 in the pages of Vogue.
Starring Daria Werbowy, the spring-summer 2008 preview starts with Louis Vuitton. Ballerina tulle layered out in a romantic outfit and continues with stripes and stars from Chanel spring-summer 2008, a blue mini dress, a red cardigan and the red and white striped jacket.
The Balenciaga dress and knee high sandals are uniquely brought together just as the catwalk presented them, impossible to overlook. Love or hate it, Ghesquiere’s new collection had a major impact on this season’s runway. Prada’s asian-naïve prints (the opening of the catwalk collection) were a big change for Miuccia’s usual style. Silky and colorful, they make an interesting choice for 2008 summer.
Burberry Prorsum in a skin toned outfit reminding strongly the big colds – a silk trench coat with a feathered minidress all trendy but very ladylike. Ralph Lauren’s anniversary collection was a dream come true for the designers involved – they created models straight from their passionate hearts, the result looking more like a dream than a catwalk.
Spring Summer 2008 Yves Saint Laurent’s collection was all about minimalism and reinventing tailoring. This blue on blue combination of shirt and trousers in a straight cut it’s purely perfect. Poetically spring 2008 by Dolce and Gabbana. Gorgeous printed pink dress to wear day and night, over and over again.
I love this hippie-indian chic from Balmain’s spring-summer 2008 collection! Distressful yet surprisingly elegant would fit just perfectly in my wardrobe for the next season. Cavalli empowers the bohemian’s lines thinner and thinner with each year. I usually loved his way of playing around with prints but this dress doesn’t hit me like a joyful one, so I don’t approve to it.
Playtime for Miuccia’s Miu-Miu spring-summer 2008 collection. A fantasy catwalk with strong inspirational motifs (did I said strong? Mmm.. I meant strongly recommended over 18years) – playboy bunnies, French-maid…There comes hippie Stella! For spring-summer 2008, Stella McCartney designed a soft and easy line, wearable and enjoyable.
I love this Gucci dress! Little bit of toga here, lots of 50es there, a beautiful belt to see just how fit you are, and perfectly daring! Now it’s time for a little bed dreaming alongside Christian Dior’s spring-summer 2008 creations. Not much to say about, except maybe – try this only at home!

What’s going on with the Chanel dumpy matron-horrors? And clearly the moddle has one leg longer than the other.
I reviewed this bunch of pix, and it occurs to me: “looks OK- to-great on these Slenderellas, but I suspect human beans are going to look silly in them….”
Love the Balmain collection as well as YSL’s..
She’s back again! The moddle for Chanel listing to one side! NO MORE plz. I’m getting sea-sick!
