Shoes Obsession – Christian Louboutin Snakeskin Stilettos
February 24th, 2008 by kpriss
Haven’t had a crush on a pair of shoes for quite some time, now. I found this pair yesterday when strolling around the internet and I completely fell for!
It’s a pair of Christian Louboutin Stilettos. I don’t know what made this pair so special and why this particular one hit me more than others, but I guess the picture is more evocative than my descriptions. I usually don’t go for this kind of overrated-priced-shoes or made from “precious” materials (like these python shoes).
However, I have to ask for your help in finding these shoes. I looked around for info over the internet but couldn’t find anything relevant. So if you know something about them (including the name, price) feel invited to share, who knows, maybe I’ll give in to this shoes obsession…

Update: Thanks to our reader Stacey Leigh I found out that they’re called “Declic” and cost app. $1400 (and still beautiful).

Pregnant Angelina Jolie at 2008 Independent’s Spirit Awards
February 23rd, 2008 by kpriss
I know, I know, it’s a cliché! And I’m aware of that baby-bump watch frenzy!
And I still can’t help it! Here it goes – another picture of Angelina’s Red Carpet Appearances. She’s all in black (except for Brad) and sporting a huuuuuuge baby bump! If rumors are true, she’s pregnant with twins (and judging from her “suffering” look, she’d be about 4 months along now, the twins factor explaining the very important baby bump she has) so we’ll get to watch a lot of her preggie-style over the summer.

I don’t know if it’s an obsession or anything, but when you were pregnant, didn’t you experience a kind of sisterhood-like feeling relating you to all the baby-bumps in the world? I feel like that, every pregnancy I have.
At first I thought it was just an impression, a newbie thing. But then it came back, the overwhelming sudden need to hug every passing pregnant woman. (it may sound strange, but I do behave, you know?).
If you were there, please write back! It will only help me from imposing myself a cerebral restraining order to keep away from all those pregnant sisterhood thoughts, or else it would just grow that sorority even more (and soon it will take over the world, beware!)

Phillip Lim and Tatami Sandals
February 23rd, 2008 by kpriss
Birkenstock will soon sell some of the most beautiful casual sandals I’ve ever seen.
I bet they’re all comfy and would do wonders with a pair of jeans or shorts and a white tank! When I first saw these sandals I so wanted so I imagine that I’ll be thinking about them for few days!

There to meet the gladiator trend, these Phillip Lim designed Navaho style sandals for Tatami will be available in 13 styles for women and 7 for men, priced from $126 to $225.
I wonder if they do some for kids too! I’d wish a pair or two for my toddlers. What do you say? These sandals get to you? Or you find them too casual to be impressed?

Oscar Red Carpet Makeup Insights
February 23rd, 2008 by kpriss
What makes all those gorgeous looks on the Red Carpet? Besides plastic surgery, of course?
Well, I came across this piece of news and thought that you had to know, especially because the products aren’t all uber-preciouss. Here it goes:
The mascara used by Angela Levin (Chanel Makeup Artist) it’s Chanel Inimitable.

I’m a big fan, went from YSL to Lancôme and then to this exquisite Inimitable and stuck to it.
She also said this mascara goes right after the Sublimage Sérum. Read more…

How about a make-up lesson? Eve Pearl, multiple Emmy Award Winner Artist has an idea or two about how to make every woman feel like one of the celebrities she’s doing the makeup for.

Betsey Johnson Pink Barbie Home: Eeew!
February 22nd, 2008 by kpriss
When I grow up, I promise I won’t get a house like that! It’s far an understatement to say that it’s a pink nightmare!
These pictures are actually from someone’s home! Someone who’s still alive and didn’t seem to be affected by this pink overdose – Betsey Johnson.
Friday Break – A Moment by Phil Hansen
February 22nd, 2008 by kpriss
My husband send me an article yesterday and when I saw the film that accompanied that posting, I just knew I had to share it with you.
I could hardy wait until today, the big Friday when I’m always suggesting you a break. Today it will not be a scene from a movie, a dance or a piece of music (even if you kinda find them altogether in this video here). It will be about life.
Please take this break with me and don’t forget about what is most important for you in your existence. Things just tend to disappear in flashes…
I had, some say, a normal life, a blessed one, for I came to find true love and happiness with my family, alongside the most wonderful man in the world. But until that moment, I saw and lived many things that brought me to my present self (with good parts and bad parts).
This movie is about what changed people’s life. All in a phrase. All painted down by a wizard – Phil Hansen. He involved real people, people of the internet, in this “A moment” project – a ten-foot, spinning, circular canvas that took him six days to complete. Over 600 responses (from the UK to Botswana) came to draw, from the middle to the extremes – Hansen’s face (his work gave him a jitter in a hand, a jitter that went away when drawing this picture).
“I’m really interested in how all of our experiences build together to create whatever world we live in.”
Givenchy Contracts Justin Timberlake
February 21st, 2008 by kpriss
News Flash – If you believed there was something out there to put a stop at celebs involving in fashion, well, there’s no point in doing so anymore!
Justin Timberlake has a new contract – he’s to be the face of a men’s fragrance at Givenchy. Not only was he a singer, actor and fashion-something (ahem … designer), now he’s a model. They must really need his name at Givenchy – this is what Alain Lorenzo (president of Givenchy) declared:
Beyond his immense international notoriety, we chose Justin Timberlake because he’s a true trendsetter who has redefined modern elegance.
Is this fashion-mockery ending somewhere? Or it’s just the beginning of the end. Of true fashion’s end?
Since when are we to refer to a marketing product and call it the new definition of modern elegance? (need I remind you that this brand new “JT” all suited up and looking smart wears the heavy signature of Hedi Slimane?)
