8 Cool And Chic Ways To Wear Bows

I was writing that green-accented outfits piece earlier and this happy feeling stuck with me. I decided to give it yet another chance to express itself by writing about one of the things I love most: Bows!

I love bows with a passion that I’m hoping to pass on to my daughter (wink – I have a feeling I already did, actually) and I happen to think they’re the most beautiful, feminine knots in the entire Universe! But how can you bring bows into your everyday outfits without making it look too childish or silly?

1. Shoes Bows

Part of the actual shoe construction or added magically to a strap to bring new life to old shoes, attached to the laces or knotted from girly, lovely ribbon laces, the bow shoes will clearly make you smile and make you feel more feminine when looking down or stepping up!

2. Socks Bows and Tights

Bows If you ever doubted the supreme matching and mixing power of bows, it’s time to think outside the box and embrace the loops! Bows can be attached to socks or at the back of second skin tights and they will make you look more flirty than girly!

3. Skirts Bows

Wear your bows in the front or on the back of a skirt (or dress) and you’ll discover an entirely new dimension of your skirt, a ball-gown reminder of ultra-feminine ages of crinolines long past!

Have you seen pants backpockets turned into bows? That way, I guess we can also add the Pants Bows into the mix!

4. Tops Bows

Here too, the bow can go on the front, on the back, on the shoulder of the top. Anywhere you please and feel comfortable wearing, that bow addition will clearly change the look of your top!

5. Bag Bows

Printed on the bag or attached to it, a bag in the shape of a bow, there’s really everything and anything to cover all bows edges of imagination and all tastes. Just Bag that Bow! Or Bow that Bag!

6. Bow Accessories

Seriously, do I even have to start this topic? Bows just make everything better! Their versatile shape is the perfect way to know creativity and fun together! Earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings – just wear two at the time, tops!

Think of Bow Scarves as subsection of the accessories category as it’s well worth the attention: isn’t it fun how you can tie your scarf into a bow? It looks surreal and lovely!

7. Bow Tattoos

Don’t be surprised if some people take their love under their skin, to wear it on a permanent fashion, inked forever on their body, somewhere. After all, the bow’s shape reminds me of yet another symbol I treasure and believe in: ∞ (the ‘infinity’ symbol). A highly mathematical and philosophical sign for a concept bigger than our imagination! Doesn’t it look oddly identical to a bow?

8. Bow Lingerie

One of the most wonderful ways to blend the cute factor of any bow with the flirty value of lingerie. Lace bows, silk bows, there’s no limit but loads of imagination!

I’m taking bows as special crafting projects where I can put my imagination and resources to good use. This way I can not only personalize my clothing items but also give new life to things I thought were out of fashion or simply hadn’t had the proper matching idea so far…
