Effie Trinket Wears Red McQueen Dress And Shoes: Hunger Games Catching Fire

The next chapter of the Hunger Games saga is set to be released this fall (November, to be more precise) but here’s a first look at one of the book / movie’s characters, Effie Trinket.

Being one of the Capitol’s inhabitants, Effie sure is master of over the top fashion looks and so she became one of the most talked – about, inspiring style personas of the saga. Fully demonstrating her eccentric sense of dressing, Effie chose a fire red Alexander McQueen dress from the Fall 2012 collection, with the matching shoes.

This image – beyond its teaser function – it’s actually Effie’s official Capitol Potrait. I love Elizabeth Banks’ flawless impersonation of Miss Trinket and her tenure in McQueen and I’m sure that this will be the best Capitol Portrait, by far. However, given that the costumes designer for this production is none the other but the famous Trish Summerville, each and every one of the following Catching Fire portraits deserves some serious fashion talk!
