Delicate Vintage Party Dresses For Special Occasions

The celebration spirit got to me! Finally! (I’ll get back on that “finally” later on) I found these two lovely dresses today I absolutely want you to see! I paired them with some shoes too, but you know, it’s up to you – all the styling liberty to mix and match, to change up, dress up or down a certain garment.

I’m always for the dress down, but every now and then, I have to trade my comfy jeans & converse (or biker boots, it’s a question of season) for a dress and high heels. And, although you may think different, I love the dress situation! Take these two beauties here: one of them (the one with the sparkling embroidery) is alarmingly similar to one of the dresses I wore for my wedding. I guess you can technically call it “wedding dress”, even if it’s more unconventional.

So I guess that says a lot about me? About how I stick to a particular style throughout the years? That’s good, isn’t it? How about you? Do you have positive feelings about dresses / garments you’ve worn years ago? Would you still wear the same things if you were to do it all over again? (I know I would!) See? I told you I was more into celebrations than dress talking! Everything comes from that wonderful place in the internet called Anthropologie and I really hope you’ll find my picks beautiful and inspiring. (do you?) (cast in order of appearance: Sparkle Sprayed Dress with Wrapped Marita Wedges and Dulcie dress in neutral with hearted Mary Janes)

Inspiring indeed. For vintage dresses these look pretty relevant for today :)
There’s a Fortuny feel to the first dress & the 2nd one is such a classic that could be worn for years & years to come.
I’m not a celebrity so I have favourite pieces of clothing that I wear many times over. Especially a mock YSL black smoking dress that I always feel good in & know won’t let me down. I admit I do tend to stick to the same style throughout the years. Its just the colours that differ really. However I tend to shy away from prints as I’m quite tall and end up looking like a shower curtain °~°
