David Bowie The Jean Genie

Now let’s get back to our original rock’n’roll, movie-ish breaks! Actually, with David Bowie you don’t even need a movie to start with, the man is epic enough on his own!

So here’s to a wonderful, amazing weekend, I hope you’ll have a great time, rest or just enjoy your weekend in the best way you can! Keep it fashionable and be true to yourself! Enjoy David Bowie’s Jean Genie! (more info right after the jump!)

Originally released in 1972, the Jean Genie song is influenced by Iggy Pop and Cyrinda Fox (Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler’s first wife). Reportedly ironic referencing the French writer Jean Genet, the song was written and performed by Bowie in Fox’s apartment, in an effort to entertain her. He succeeded and entertained millions after the release of the song.
