I was hoping that the summer bag from Lanvin we’ve seen a while back was the only Lanvin – Lanvim accident we were going to see for the next season. I was wrong.
Lanvin really thinks this is the next big thing for them as a company, to seemingly misspell the maison’s name, even unintentional as it really is. Come to think about it, it’s actually a declaration of courage and a style statement in true power since I would probably avoid being seen with such a bag to the point of actually not buying it so it’s challenging for Lanvin to make these bags covetable. It’s screaming kitsch from every pore of its $660 cotton python print. I wonder how much luxury did Alber Elbaz really brought to H & M and how much cheap-attitude he bestowed back on his own house…
