Valentino For Gap Collection

Have you seen the latest Lanvin Loves H & M collection? Sure you did! It’s all over the place, all over the news, all over the fashwebs! Wherever you turn, there’s a little bit from the new collection or the catwalk presentation of the extraordinary collaboration between Hennes & Mauritz and Alber Elbaz. A bit of Couture Heaven on Retail Earth. That’s how I see it. And I bet many of you feel the same.

You know what else falls in the same Couture Heaven on Retail Earth category? Valentino for Gap! I find it hard to resist the Gap charm, you know that already, so, naturally, I was highly interested in the new Valentino collection for Gap, signed by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli. (hit the jump for more looks!)

How many pieces are there in the collection? Seven. When will be the collection available? November 27th! Where would the collection be available, just in case you’re in for the line shopping (just for the fun – some of the people who got in line for Lanvin Loves H & M spent as much as $3,000 for various items from the collection!)? Selected Gap stores (Milan, Colette, Gap’s flagship store in Oxford Street, Dover Street) – it looks like an European affair through and through.

Now for the looks and the prices. From $60 to $240 you can choose any of the khaki pieces to flatter your look and update your couture fantasy. The cargo pants with ruffles on have a rather dubious look while the ruffled bow-ed skirt is adorable on its own. As is the neck ruffled parka or the ruffled bolero. I would, however, go for one, say two pieces from the collection or you’re in for a ruffle overload. Which one’s your favorite? (via 1, 2)
