Something Old, Something New! Reknit It!

Recknit It sounds like a perfectly cozy answer to the throwing away démodé clothes and throwing away money for high fashion ones equation!

It’s an eco-fash-initiative allowing you to transform an old item into a new one by reknitting the old one. Under the friendly and warm title: This Month, My Mom Will Turn Your Old *something* into a new *something*, fashion that has turned so much into a business these days is turned back into something traditional and familiar, close to each and every one of us. Wouldn’t you want someone you love to reknit your old sweater into a warm, new scarf? (via)

After reading the H&M post I’m glad to read a good proposal to recycle old clothes and produce less waste.

This is a rather nifty idea! :)
There is a fabu book called
“Born Again Vintage” by Bridgett Artise and Jen Karetnick and it takes older pieces of clothing that you may have or may buy a Salvation Army or Goodwill shop and re-vamp them!
I really like the idea of this and if you do too check out this book! :)

This is a sensible idea and I’ve learnt this from my granny and aunts when I was a young kid. They were poor but they managed to look great and above all, that were really fierce women!
And we can save our envoriment to recycle so produce more ourselves. Yes, that creates another problem: unemployment in other sections…..and another discussion…….I don’t have all the answers, but who has?
