This should be called Art Campaign more than a lookbook, but for the sake of placing this in a classic category, let’s talk about Milliner Maison Michel’s new Fall Winter 2009 2010 collection ad campaign photographed by Karl Lagerfeld!
Yup! That’s right, the Kaiser is the new It photographer when it comes to fashion. dash art. He photographed so many famous personalities/faces for Maison Michel Fall Winter 2009 2010 lookbook, it’s almost a pleasure to just look at the images without concentrating on the amazingly beautiful head pieces! (the story continues with more images right after the jump!)
Karl has brought his own aesthetics and faiblesses of the moment along for lookbook: Lara Stone and Sasha Pivovarova. But you can also see Nina Ricci renegade the oh-so-talented Olivier Theyskens, Sean Lennon (and Charlotte Muhl), Lou Doillon, Olivier Zahm (editor, Purple magazine), Angela Lindvall, Erin Wasson, Milla Jovovich, Anouk Lepere, Heidi Mount (wearing what we can declare the trend of the season – Mouse/Rabbit Ears head pieces), Rebecca Dayan (as an observation – doesn’t her picture look just like cut-out from Jennifer Behr’s lookbook? her picture is below, next to Angela Lindvall’s), Laetitia Crahay (with the rabbit ears thingie) oh, and Baptiste Giabiconi, biensur!
From 1936 when hatmaker Auguste Michel founded his company to present days hats have never gone out of fashion. Wearing a headpiece is always a statement whether you choose to put on a simple headband or go with the full flavor hat, people will never fail to notice you. Have fun! Wear something beautiful to match your (already) gorgeous hair! (ok, maybe not the bush-piece on Angela Lindvall’s head, but nevertheless, even that could be useful in a camouflage mission!) What do you say about Lagerfeld’s Maison Michel fall 2009 lookbook? (if you have the curiosity or simply want to break the rhythm, take a look at Maison Michel’s website – there’s a short video with the actual process of hand making hats! I always cherish a bit of behind the scenes information!) (via 1, 2)
