While continuing my investigation on all things fascinating Marc Jacobs, I ran into these candids with him and his partner, Lorenzo (we still don’t have confirmation that the marriage rumors were true, so I don’t assume a husband-title or anything…)
Sooo, Marc is faithful to his men in skirt believes, wearing a black buttoned dress (I hope it’s his own design, at least!) paired with a mouton coat and, of course, a Hermes Birkin! (the story continues after the jump!)

I love how he matched his coat to his beard and the dress to his Birkin. I’m not sure about the socks and army boots. What do you say? Shall we embrace this new trend? (photos via)

Here’s he’s again, sorry ladies: Axl Rose……that’s Axl’s stage look late 80’s, early 90’s. The skirt and that army shoes with the white socks. Oh well, back then I’d found it a fun look. But on Marc I’m not so sure? It makes him look kinda matronly?
No, I don’t embrace this new trend. There are not that many men that can rock it.
On a second thought its the coat that make this look matronly on Marc!
um…. NO
Love the skirt and the bag… the coat I could do without
Oh Lawd have mercy, he looks like he escaped from a home and stole the clothing of one of the little old ladies who live there.
Ellington lol! I remember my grandmother had a similar coat only entirely black and shiny!
On a fun note – my husband was scrolling down Stylefrizz.com with one of the boys in his lap. When the little one saw this picture with Marc Jacobs pointed loudly at it “look Daddy, a lady with a bag!”
…. how could we disagree?
Ah, and Adriana – you’re right, Axl was the first! Or the Scots? ;)
I love the man skirt, and it works because he makes it unisex and manly, also has anyone noticed the man clutch??
