We were thinking, my dearest husband and I, to teach the kids how to play the guitar. Of course we were considering a WII twist to make things techie-appealing.
If something will make them understand music, it’s definitely not the latest Guitar Hero advertising with Heidi Klum. Made after the unforgettable Tom Cruise from Risky Business, this new commercial shows a little too much. Too bouncy and too lace-y for my taste. Next you know, the kids will be asking if black lace lingerie comes with Guitar Hero in a super premium pack, right? Maybe some Heidi too? I think Tom’s one is more ‘rock’n'roll’ certainly at the time. But I like Heidi’s performance too. This clip is not meant for kids anyway…..
I’m one of the less persons who likes Heidi I believe. I love the whole Seal family.
Forgot something this is a great commercial because Heidi looks normal. I believe women/girls can identify with her. And that sells! And haven’t we all once or more often played rockstar or Tom Cruise all by ourselves?

Yes this ad is mos def not for kids.
Its for guy gamers. They also have one with a group of big name pro athletes.
As for the Tom Cruise version… no thanks, I CANNOT abide him or his movies and I have never ever tried to imitate him. LAME!
Ellington, a correction, I meant to “play rock-star AS Tom Cruise” ……I did (even for real on stage…brrr) and knows for a fact a lot off other people I know did it or still do it at times…..
What has become of Tom Cruise is neither my cup-a-tea but he has made a few remarkable movies.
We were checking out the Guitar this past week end. I think it’s a no for now. It looks too much like a cheap toy (at this stage). I’ll wait for the wii version.
About Tom, I believe, as Adriana, that he has made some good movies and as far as his private persona goes.. well.. I’d rather not get into it!
