Victoria Beckham’s Antonio Berardi Heel Less PVC Boots

When I first saw this picture of Victoria Beckham wearing the over the knee black PVC boots, I couldn’t think about something else but my dream PVC Rodarte like pants.

PVC, like leather pants aren’t easy to pull by any constitution. However, fetishist boots like these ones didn’t cross my mind as an alternative to the PVC pants. Simply because even if your feet may look gorgeous, the leg’s skin is subject to heavy perspiration making it all awkward to wear. (if you look closely, on Posh’s boots there are some blurry areas due to perspiration). (more after the jump!)

Now getting back to those boots – the PVC fog fading away, I finally noticed that the towering heels had no heels at all. That the boots were as heel less as the other pair of sandals without heels Victoria had bought (and worn) previously.

Made by Antonio Berardi, these boots seem to meet another standard of shoes-iness than we’re used to see. And wear.

I’m not completely against this kind of innovation, however, I’d like to try them on before saying it could actually work. Because, to be honest, the heel-less shoes look really unattractive to me! Do you think they’re beautiful? And/or practical? (photos via dailymail)

i’m not sure how i feel about these. she can definitely rock them, though! i just don’t get how you would walk in them without breaking the heel part!

I don’t care for the heeless boot/ shoe/sandal they look off to me, like you would fall in them or something.
Victoria Beckham tries too hard to look fashionable and cutting edge. You can see the work and effort she puts into what she wears and the thing is I do not appreciate it at all. It all comes off as desperate to me. Its not that she looks bad its just that she is always posing and looking prefab like some kind of shop window mannequin.

I think the black leather boots look very sheik on Victoria’s slim legs, but I can’t imagine how uncomfortable they must be!

#4 Vidking on 09.29.08 at 3:22 am

The boots are made from Latex not PVC, the fading areas are due to the polish rubbing off and nothing to do with perspiration. They do look very cool however very reminiscent of Pony Girl boots. Hats off to Victoria for wearing them.

welcome to the FUTURE! just wait for those Marty McFly nikes to hit the streets.

#6 Sal on 09.29.08 at 10:15 am

Yoiks. They’re certainly interesting, but look like a broken ankle waiting to happen.

#7 Adriana on 09.29.08 at 10:35 am

Ugly, impracticle and another example of the SM-trend in fashion.
Ewwwww,boots!

#8 Adriana on 09.29.08 at 10:36 am

P.S. Why don’t we see such designs for males by the way?

#9 Booner on 09.29.08 at 11:30 am

I for one would welcome boots like these for males! As far as Victorias boots, they are the most amazingly sexy, fetishy creations I have seen in years, and I can only imagine what Becks did to her in them after the show!

#10 kpriss on 09.30.08 at 1:13 pm

First of all, Vidking, thank you for clearing the PVC mess – (I’m no specialist in fetishist materials so latex and PVC look really similar to my eyes) it seems they’re really made of latex since they’re far more flexible than pvc. However, as far as polish rubbing goes, I must strongly disagree and stand by my original belief that’s all in the sweat.

Ellington, you’re right, it seems everything she does is (at least 60%) for show off! Too bad there’s a similar percentage of the world’s population who’s looking at her with derision.

Shuping, I thing they looked far better in the movie (the McFly Nike). As far as these boots go, no matter what concept the future will bring, it must also be comfortable. Except if the future is all about SM…

Sal, do you imagine for a second if Posh would broke her ankle? Suddenly every magazine in the world would procrastinate cast? and make cast-shoes? yoiks indeed!

Adriana – Maybe because women legs look far sleeker than men’s?

Booner, I see they’re made for males too! I hope your imagination is fireproof cause you seem to be skyrocketing because of those boots!

But where can i find the website of this shoe designer to get me those no heel latex boots? i love them.

#12 currymusodave on 10.02.08 at 6:03 am

I think she should go the whole hog and get a designer bit and bridle… that I’d love to see!

#13 Mary on 10.04.08 at 9:46 am

I love the boots!!! I look at it this way if you can wear them and look good and most of all FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF…WEAR THEM….
FEELING GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF IS ALL THAT’S IMPORTANT NOT WHAT OTHERS THINK…

#14 sophie on 10.06.08 at 1:30 pm

I’m actually worried about these shoes being unhealthy for your feet. Like, does it hurt not to have a support on your heel?

#15 imthethinman on 10.09.08 at 3:38 pm

You can’t sweat through latex, its waterproof – that’s why they make condoms from it!

I love these boots!

#16 Soyarma on 10.13.08 at 9:43 pm

Aye, the boots are definately latex and the dull areas are from the polish wearing off. Most latex is very dull and looks like a tire’s inner tube if not polished.

As thinman said, it’s waterproof, no sweating through the stuff. Vidking would know too since he manufactures clothing made of latex.

#17 fayfab07 on 10.14.08 at 8:14 pm

These shoes aren’t meant to look beautiful the first time u set eyes on them. They are meant to be a fashion statement. It is bold, modern, avant-garde, therefore they’re beautiful. The more I look at them the better i like them. Course I would never wear it in public, but whoever wears it is saying, they are fashionable and chic enough to rock something like this. Victoria Beckham has the perfect reputation and style to wear somthing like this.

#18 GettingThere on 10.20.08 at 6:43 am

Before you run out to buy a pair of these fabulous boots you might consider the price: $6,000.

#19 Anna Rose on 10.22.08 at 4:37 am

These are definitely made of latex and look so much like pony girl boots :o)
I love them and I love it that Victoria wears them.

#20 latexboobs on 10.23.08 at 8:13 pm

Boots *like* these have been around for years.

#21 Consort_6 on 10.26.08 at 11:54 am

David is training Victoria to be a pony girl.
Her work pony boots are at home or being reshoed.

#22 sexiiazian209 on 11.18.08 at 8:49 am

ew, im sorry antonio berardi these heeless shoes are retarded. There called heels for a reason.

#23 GermanGirl on 12.03.08 at 12:49 pm

These boots don´t look nice!!! Really not! Even not on Victoria´s legs!!!

#24 Lars on 12.04.08 at 3:56 am

I’m sorry to correct you but these boots ARE latex. If you had any exprerience in the material at all you would have understood that the polish rubbes off like that. You polish the material in either ArmorAll, which is normally used for shining the dash of your car or the sides of your car tires. All you shine the material in other taylor-made products like Pur Body Glide.

That said I think the boots are cool. Victoria is the perfect hanger for outrageous fashion statements and any designer with a name gets to hang whatever he wants on her body, or in this case her feet. I also think she deserves cred for dearing to wear such outrageous clothing.

#25 alyssa on 12.09.08 at 11:19 am

That’s correct you can’t sweat through the latex! But you will sweat because it doesn’t breathe. Any dulling of the latex is most likely because it has come in contact with bare skin or has rubbed on the other boot. I had a pair of latex pants and if I didn’t shine them up before wearing them, they’d be dull from either just touching them or just hanging in the closet.

#26 wr on 12.11.08 at 8:23 pm

As previous posts state, the dull spots are not sweat, although it does look like condensation on those pics. I’ve worn latex, pvc, leather, vinyl, rubberized spandex, the works, for years. Latex is the worst offender for sweat because it doesn’t breathe at all, but the sweat stays on the inside and I have the wet socks to prove it. Never did I look like a soda bottle in the summer heat.

The Berardi boots are gorge, I’d buy them in a heartbeat. They are not meant for anyone but hard-core shoe lovers and the women who can walk in them.

The question of how to walk in them; If you are walking properly in very high heels, you barely put any weight on the heels anyway. That’s the real torture of high heels, the stress you place on the whole foot. Only amateurs clomp around with all of their weight evenly distributed.

#27 Nury on 12.15.08 at 10:56 am

These boots are hidious! Who in their right mind would think these are nice! What in the world was the designer thinking, obviously not of fashion. And what was she thinking by wearing them!? Whatever happened to a woman dressing glamorous and sexy, without being trashy and sluty!

#28 BritofDc on 12.15.08 at 9:35 pm

Thank you wr for that mini-lesson on heel wearing. I myself wondered how to walk in something without a heel [i figured u must’ve been on tippies the whole time] i myself would like to wear heels more often but have shunned them for so many years that im an amatuer who clomps around, lol but with this information in my brain i may try to look more graceful now. someone once told me to walk in heels you go heel-toe, heel-toe, but this is awkward when i try it. what do you suggest oh wise one?

#29 lucydog on 12.16.08 at 11:25 am

so if you lean back when your drunk will you just tip over? Or are these being used instead of breathalyzers as a test for sobriety? Would you need to be drunk to think this is sexy?

#30 rhean.m on 01.04.09 at 5:24 pm

it is true that one walks heel-toe, i find myself with a slight outward turn for stability (maybe snowboard habit) the weight is evenly distributed over the balls of your feet, the heels serve as a balance point.(my drag queen friend said “pretend that you are walking on a cloud”, as we would clean house in our stilettoes)

the trick i would think would be learning to walk with the absence of the rear “rudder” but the structure of the footwear must give some kind of support the construction looks pretty badass…over 4 inches high and you wouldn’t catch me in anything but boots for the added ankle support…that shoe version looks highly impractical but as soon as the boot style is available at $600.00 instead of $6000.00 sign me up!

#31 nahojay on 03.17.09 at 1:23 pm

omg!!! where can i get the shoes the black heels i love those!! can someone please tell me!!!!!!!!

#32 Amira on 05.07.09 at 10:38 am

Love tha shoes…now all we need is for Carrie Bradshaw to rock them and its just a matter of time before the public can get their hands on them!!!

#33 tippy on 10.13.09 at 10:27 am

you people and your comments.

@Ellington
how do you know that Victoria Beckham tries so “desperately” to look cutting edge.did it ever occur to you that she might enjoy that style of dress?

me i dont perfer these boots but more the Nina Ricci fall ’10 ones!!

#34 Ellington on 10.13.09 at 11:03 am

I said what I said Tippy because as the saying goes “the proof is in the pudding”.
She does try to look cutting edge, its her thing and it garners attention for her otherwise she would simply be known as the wife of David Beckham Football star. And of course she enjoys it why else would she do it? It really is a moot point.

#35 Pandora on 04.10.10 at 6:30 pm

Personal opinion: I don’t like this at all. It looks really…strange. She could have completely ROCKED those leather legging things with that same pair of boots–if they had a heel. This just looks plain silly. Heels are sexy–no heels are not.

#36 Tiita on 07.25.10 at 2:47 am

I actually like those boots!I would maybe wear the sandals but Posh definetly rocks the boots!!I dream of boots that long!

#37 KSH on 09.10.10 at 2:10 pm

The boots are cool, but she’s still homely
