Kate Hudson W Vs Nadja Auermann Harper’s Bazaar

One of my alltime favorites, Najda Auermann just got reinvented on the cover of W September by Mert and Marcus.

They shot Kate Hudson looking almost identical to the beautiful Nadja. Not saying Mert and Marcus copied Patrick Demarchelier and arranged for this similar pose just because. I’m thinking, since we’re talking two September covers only 14 years apart could be a tribute. Either way, they both look pretty, even if it’s a makeup overload situation. Do you think it was an accident? (click picture to view larger image)

Kate Hudson again?!I’m OD-ing on her.Pleeze give her a hit film so she’d take a LONG hiatus in Mustique island.
You’re quite perceptive kpriss about the covers being a discreetly intentional. They do seem sensationally alike.Personally I think it was an accident and coincidental heavy eye liner and fierce attitude. However Kate Hudson looks like Cate Blachett.

Ah, Nadja Auermann is a alltime favorite of mine too! And of course I prefer the Bazaar cover.
I’ve noticed these covers too. Gosh, can they come up with something new anymore?

Dolly Bird, to me she doesn’t look like Cate Blanchett at all. She doesn’t even look herself to me…..its a bit vampirish while Nadja looks fierce but human.

Nadja Auermann’s cover is the over all winner!
Kate Hudson looks pale and dead, no zing or life. Where as the Harper’s Bazaar cover sings and zings with life and style!!

I wish fashion magazines would have Designers on the covers once in awhile. They keep these magazines in business too. Celebs do not have too much to do with the magazines, just to promote their latest tired film. It was sad that when Yves Saint Laurent died, not one U.S. fashion mag had him on the cover!!! They should all be ashamed of themselves!!!! Stop with celebs!!!! It’s so overdone (for the last 10 years)!!!!!!!

That makes a lot of sense Richard. Its true how shamefull it was that not one major US fashion magazine put YSL on its cover in homage to his brilliant contribution to what we all wear today.
Apparently actresses or singers selling a film or album are more important as they sell more copies.

That makes sense to me too. Same goes for film-directors in my view. But as you know one has to be beautiful and young to grab a cover…..
Yes indeed Yves Saint Laurent is a very good example. News-papers on the other hand paid much more respect to Yves than any fashion magazine has done.. You’re right I rest my case!

I actually brought those two magazine covers to the attention of Perez Hilton who later posted the comparison on his site.

No way is this an accident! Not a chance, at all!!! The make-up artist has worked hard to get Hudson looking like Najda. The blue clothing and blonde curly hair. The body positions are differentso they may not get sued.
