Ann Demeulemeester Shop in Seoul

I though it would be interesting posting these images from Ann Demeulemeester’s shop in Seoul.

The Shop is located in an alley, not far from the busy thoroughfare in Seoul’s Gangnam district. The building is comprised of Belgian’s Designer Ann Demeulemeester fashion store at the ground floor, a Multi Shop in the basement and a restaurant at the top floor.

The parking is at the center of the site, the entrance to the Ann Demeulemeester Shop is on the western side of the courtyard and the stairs for the Multi Shop and the Restaurant are on the eastern side.
Architecture aside, the interesting thing about this particular shop is the outside building material – a primarily geotextile planted with herbaceous perennial to form a living façade.

The construction was designed in 3-4 months and bears the signature of Korean architect Minsuk Cho of Mass Studies and effectively constructed in 5-6 months.
