Eva Mendes For Amica Germany Last Issue June 2009
May 7th, 2009 by kpriss
Going out with a glam-blast: German Amica’s June 2009 is their last issue so they decided to bring Latina bombshell Eva Mendes for a bronze, sexy cover!
So many beautiful women have made the beauty of Amica Germany, it’s really sad to see this magazine exit the fashion stage so suddenly. I guess only the good fall under the merciless credit crunch knife! I doubt Eva makes the perfect cover-choice for this farewell, but she’s one controversial subject lately, especially since her CK contract was renewed for fall! Could she be taking the super-sexy-star pedestal at Hollywood or it’s just another one of those boring covers for boring magazines? (who’s next to bite the economy-dust?) (photo via)

Victoria Beckham’s Emporio Armani Underwear Macy’s Poster
May 7th, 2009 by kpriss
After unveiling a large-than-life poster of David Beckham modelling for Emporio Armani underwear, we now have the chance to couple up his poster with Victoria’s. It may not look as impressive, it may not have created a mass hysteria when it was shown chez Macy’s, but it really is worth talking about!
Photographed by Mert & Marcus, Posh’s third installment for Emporio Armani Underwear looks rather different. Because she wanted it too. (the story continues right after the jump with more pictures and a video!)

Megan Fox Covers Elle US In June 2009
May 7th, 2009 by kpriss
Megan Fox used to be called a younger Angelina Jolie. Tattoos and physique called for that comparison.
Elle US brings the new Angelina, Megan Fox, on the cover of their Body Issue, June 2009. And boy, do they have a body issue! Take that head and photoshop it back where it belongs (and those arms too!). (the story continues right after the jump with more pictures!)

Matthew Williamson H&M Video Ad We Need A Change
May 7th, 2009 by kpriss
Matthew Williamson For H&M. The ad video is out. And it’s mind blowing! Whoever came with the spaced-out idea of a Matthew Williamson-meteorite should be credited accordingly!
We Need A Change, the background music you’ll hear throughout the video was apparently composed and produced especially for this ad campaign by Malcolm Pardon and Fredrik Rinman with Johan Renck lyrics. Daria Werbowy looks to be the main model for the campaign, but there’s an entire lineup of models for this video, not just Daria! How does it look like to you? stellar? too much? (via)
Natalia Vodianova Covers Vogue UK June 2009
May 7th, 2009 by kpriss
Body Talk doesn’t necessarily require a body, but specifically demands people willing to talk about (their) body. Vogue UK, however, decided it should help everyone (men or women) talk about their bodies. By using Natalia Vodianova’s clothes-less body for their June 2009 cover.
A typical Mario Testino, Natalia’s picture is hardly unnatural and despite my case of Vodianova-allergy (due to her overexposure in magazines and social events), I have a positive feeling about this cover. However, I should also express my concern about the way fashion magazines evolve. (the story continues right after the jump)

Christian Siriano’s Bride Gowns
May 6th, 2009 by kpriss
Christian Siriano is no stranger to a woman’s most beautiful and intimate thresholds in life. He designed a maternity line, now he’s taking things further with bride gowns designs (actually, he’s taking things backwards, given his first steps into the fashion world were made through his freelance bridal designer gigs)
Brides magazine asked him to sketch a bride dress for Amy Adams, Rachel Bilson, Uma Thurman and Zooey Deschanel. (the story continues right after the jump!)

Ed Hardy Wines By Christian Audigier
May 6th, 2009 by kpriss
Soon there will be no more room left for non-designer products! Ed Hardy’s designer, Christian Audigier promoted his last wines last week at a California Whole Foods Market by autographing the bottles.
I guess spreading the news about Madonna designing a collection for the brand is not profitable enough to make Christian Audigier come up with the wines autographing thing… The Ed Hardy wines are said to come by ways of France and cost about $20 for a regular bottle of 750ml. There’s everything in the Ed Hardy wines collection: Rosé, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Chardonnay.(the story continues right after the jump with more images!)
The Model As Muse: Embodying Fashion At Met Gala 2009
May 5th, 2009 by kpriss
Last night it was all about the Model as Muse. Embodying Fashion but the trick is that even if some played the sure value with Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Versace and so on, there weren’t many pointing in the good fashion direction.
Of course, the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala started on a firm wrong foot in 2009: Azzedine Alaia’s dissing was a heavy coup on Fashion. But there’s much to learn about the Alaia affair that we may not ever be aware of. The truth (as seen from an outside, shallow point of view) is that Alaia’s creations should have been part of the exhibition and Naomi, Linda and Stephanie Seymour should have participated to the opening gala (they pulled out because of the Alaia incident). Saddened, I leave this regrettable mistake behind and get to the point. The Model point. (the story continues right after the jump with more pictures!)
