Adriana Lima’s Givenchy Fall Winter 2009 2010 Ads

When she catwalked down for Givenchy Fall Winter 2009, I didn’t thought she would really make it this far! But the ad campaign for Givenchy FW 2009/2010 is out and Adriana Lima looks surprisingly good!

Givenchy’s Ricardo Tisci went from Inez and Vinoodh to Mert and Marcus, kept Mariacarla Boscono, added a heavy Goth air and wrapped up their Fall/Winter 2009/2010 ad campaign! (the story continues right after the jump with more pictures!)

What Is Eco-Fashion?

Every-fash-body out there knows there’s a new fashion going strong right now – the organic-whatever fashion. But what and why should we fall pray to this galloping new trend?

A short film was made to guide us through this organic madness. I picked it up in hoping it will help spreading the word about why we should treat ourselves with more respect when it comes to the clothes we’re wearing. It’s not just about fashion, it’s about health too! Are you willing to become an eco-fashionista now? (via)

Models Inc Comics By Marvel

Models Inc Comic book MarvelFor the geek in you: Models Inc, the new comic book by Marvel Entertainment channels fashion magazines covers with a fun twist: How to fight crime and fat! is one of the taglines from Mary Jane, the redheaded model cover and Killer Fashions one of the cover lines for Model Millie’s cover, the two first covers presented. The way fashion magazines are going, a Models comic book is redundant! (The Moment)

Acne Designs Bianchi Racing Bikes

Acne is getting tired of clothes (and outrageous shoes) and goes into racing. Bicycling racing that is!

Teaming up with Bianchi and taking advantage of their 120 years of tradition in bikes, Acne fashioned up their bicycles. Adding two bright colors to the Bianchi palette (coral and yellow), Acne’s re-design is hardly noticeable. Maybe that’ll concentrate on the price tag. But who could afford a $2,000-$4,000 bike can add up for the fashion factor, right? They’d still be fashionably riding their bicycle without breaking the bank for the Beyond Chanel bike! (more pictures right after the jump!) (via)

Gap’s CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Khaki Collection 2009

I always preferred good advertising campaigns for fast fashion retailers. The good ones! There’s something relaxed, authentic about some of them, a broken rhythm you won’t find in haute couture/luxury houses ads.

Gap’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund’s collection this year is on the khaki. Savannah moods, urban jungle looks, Gap’s khakis are signed by Alexander Wang, Albertus Swanepoel, Sophie Buhai, Lisa Mayock (Vena Cava). (the story continues right after the jump with more pictures!)

Charlotte Gainsbourg Wins Cannes 2009 Palme D’Or!

Charlotte Gainsbourg was named the Best Actress for her special performance in Antichrist! She received the Palme D’Or at this Cannes 2009!

Her modest, charming self was heavily disadvantaged by the illfitted studded black dress which she honorably saved by wearing the Balenciaga sandals. Her Red Carpet appearance doesn’t help the movie’s fate: Antichrist divided the audience but still conquered the Palme D’Or Cannes 2009 for good Charlotte. Getting back to the dress: what is she wearing, anyway? (you can see the complete list with the Cannes 2009 winners here) (photos via)
