Love Photoshops En Plus!
June 17th, 2009 by kpriss
Since being skinny is that new social standard everyone (and soon their dogs) is so keen on, you’d say that Photoshop and magazines photos go together like rain and umbrella. Ella ella.
But no! here’s Love to teach us how to really Photoshop! Remember that first Love cover with Beth Ditto? Weeeeell, that cover was Photoshopped en plus! Love’s editor, Katie Grand, demanded that they make Beth look bigger on the cover! Isn’t that pure aesthetic bliss? (via, photo via)

Emma Watson Does Spanish Seventeen July 2009
June 17th, 2009 by kpriss
Since I already made my coming out as a Watson fan (not so much, really, but I do like her), this doesn’t come as a surprise: Emma Watson covers the Spanish edition of Seventeen. I highly doubt she really posed for this issue (so these must be just portfolio pictures) but even so, it’s interesting (for the debate we just had) to know what’s on her mind and how the world looks through her eyes.
Coming from a lawyers/academics family, Emma admitted to not knowing who Gary Oldman was (is that really possible?) but catching up with that cinematic education and viewing thousands (?) of movies! (the story continues right after the jump!)

Spread The Word: The Uniform Project
June 16th, 2009 by kpriss
The fashblogosphere has a special category of daily fashionistas who dress themselves and take a picture, make an article around it. In order to see that happening, you have got to take (at least) one look at Susie Bubble or Rumi.
But the Uniform Project is something different! A great project with charity as end purpose and a very specific theme – wearing the same dress for 365 days! (the story continues after the jump with more pictures!)

Pharrell Blings The Bape Casio G Shock DW 6900
June 16th, 2009 by kpriss
Since that last dubious tasted chair that Pharrell Williams (said to have) designed, I heard nothing outrageously notable in Pharrell’s designer interests.
Until this Casio came along! The Bape Casio G-Shock DW-6900 wristwatch could look as cheap as possible to everyone but know that it’s encrusted in gold! And the G-Shock iconic logo is unbelievably rainbow colored. And tacky. And cheap. So cheap. Too cheap. How is that humanly possible?(why doesn’t he just stick to his music making pure genius?) (via)
Nudity Doesn’t Sell Anymore!
June 16th, 2009 by kpriss
Or at least not for Vanity Fair it doesn’t! Gisele Bundchen’s almost nude cover for Vanity Fair May 2009 wasn’t as high seller as expected!
Actually, that May issue has sold in only 280,000 copies which makes the Gisele exposée cover the lowest-selling Vanity Fair issue in two years (Vanity Fair averages 342,000 single copy sales per month)! That’s quite scary, isn’t it? Time for a change, Gisele (hope those pregnancy rumors are true)! (or maybe it’s time for a serious marketing revolution!) (NY Observer via Popcrunch)

Mrs And Mr Bruce Willis Honeymoon Hotel In W July 2009
June 16th, 2009 by kpriss
I’m really having a hard time understanding (let alone getting along with) the fetish-like-fashion from this W Magazine July 2009! I’m an optimist, incurable and my face looks cut out to smile so I can’t appreciate this kind of moody, semi-dark pictorials (starring Bruce Willis).
Taking tattoos/piercings/fetish at such a next-art-level is somewhat dangerous if fallen into the wrong/young hands and/or not explained properly. (the story continues right after the jump with more pictures)

Jean Paul Gaultier Ma Dame Fragrance Anniversary Surprise Guest
June 16th, 2009 by kpriss
Last year’s Ma Dame campaign was all about Agyness and la garconne. This year, to celebrate JP Gaultier’s Ma Dame’s first anniversary, something special is in the works!
A web-via-blogosphere initiated project has been issued to challenge the fashblogosphere and the fashbloggers into guessing the mysterious artist said to participate at this year’s anniversary through a series of video-clues. The first one goes like this:
By the X-looks of it, I’d say it’s Kaws (even if I thought Kaws aka Brian Donnelly goes under Marc Jacobs’ flag only!) Either that or a DJ… What say you? (via)
