Chloe Sevigny’s Valentino Dress For Golden Globes 2010
January 17th, 2010 by kpriss
I’m breaking my 2010 Golden Globes Red Carpet tonight by letting you all know I love Chloe Sevigny’s dress! It’s not something you head me say pretty often. It’s not something you heard me say at all. And that’s why I’m starting with her!
Ruffles are the big Red Carpet thing right now and Chloe knows it. That soft lilac Valentino dress from the Spring Summer 2010 collection looks ravishing. Too bad for Chloe’s pose, I wish she could keep it low sometimes…(you can see the gallery here!) (photos via 1, 2)

Marion Cotillard’s White Dior Dress For Critics Choice Awards 2010
January 16th, 2010 by kpriss
You know I have a serious weakness for Marion Cotillard. Even if I wasn’t quite swept away by her Lady Dior campaign, my heart lies with Jeux d’Enfants and her continuous authenticity while acting or anything else.
Nominated for her Nine performance, Marion didn’t receive the Best Supporting Actress Award (much like Julianne Moore, they both lost to Precious Mo’Nique) but delivered quite a glitzy Red Carpet appearance instead. Her white retro Christian Dior Spring Summer 2010 ensemble was pretty glamorous for the 2010 edition of the Critics Choice Awards! Cast your vote right after the first image! Meryl Streep Wins Critics Choice Award. Kisses Sandra Bullock
January 16th, 2010 by kpriss
Not one of Meryl Streep’s award receiving moments is a dull one! And thankfully so, because Meryl Streep’s and Sandra Bullock’s kiss will now enter the stage-kiss-walk of fame!
Meryl Streep won the Best Actress Critics’ Choice Award 2010 for her wonderful performance in Julie & Julia. She shared the honors with Sandra Bullock who also received an award in the same category for her role in The Blind Side. Put the two together on a stage and you’ve got this amazing surprise, a playful moment of kiss and make up for the viewers pleasure! One to enter the stage kisses history alongside Madonna’s with Britney and Xtina (MTV’s VMA 2003), Halle Berry’s with Jamie Foxx (Spike Awards 2009) or even Angelina Jolie’s with her brother Haven (Oscars 2000). Sandra Bullock’s Black Alberta Ferretti Dress For Critics Choice Awards 2010
January 16th, 2010 by kpriss
Sandra Bullock is one of the winners at this year’s 15th edition of the Critics’ Choice Awards, 2010! She won an award for her performance in the Blind Side (a surprisingly well received movie at the box office: Sandra Bullock’s football drama is the first female lead flick to win more than $200 million in box office earnings).
And though Sandra Bullock is a charming woman, her outfit choices leave me baffled most of the time! This black Alberta Ferretti corset dress she had on wasn’t really the perfect little black dress of the night (at least those Casadei platforms saved the day)! Cast your vote right after the first image! (the story continues right after the jump with more images, click here for the gallery!)
Julianne Moore’s Lanvin Red Dress For Critics Choice Awards 2010
January 16th, 2010 by kpriss
It’s January. And the awards season already started. For those of us looking forward to see the Red Carpet catwalk (and for those of us only looking for a daily dose of light entertainment) I give you: the 15th annual edition of the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, 2010.
Some of the awards were completely unexpected, some were absolutely predictable. However, given that the awards seasons just begun, surprises still lay ahead. Julianne Moore wasn’t one of the winners. She was nominated for her performance in Tom Ford’s Single Man but lost to Precious’ Mo’Nique. Let us get back to Julianne Moore’s Red Carpet choice: a dramatically red Lanvin dress from the Spring Summer 2010 collection. Cast your vote right after the first image! The Soggy Bottom Boys I Am A Man Of Constant Sorrow
January 15th, 2010 by kpriss
The Soggy Bottom Boys with their Man of Constant Sorrow haunted me for over a week now! And I cannot begin to tell you how hard it’s been to save it for today! I wanted to break the Friday anyday with this song!
But no, here goes now: I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow! George Clooney leading backed by the brilliant John Turturro, and Tim Blake Nelson made it big just by dubbing the song for O Brother, Where Are Thou? (the original soundtrack song Man of Constant Sorrow was actually performed by John Tyminski and Union Station – John’s is the voice attributed to George in the film’s musical piece). Thank you for such an amazing week, for your wise and insightful comments! I hope you have the best weekend yet! Enjoy The Man of Constant Sorrow! (more info right after the jump!)
Viggo Mortensen’s Road
January 15th, 2010 by kpriss
What do we really know about our heroes? And where do we find our heroes? What do they embody for us? Viggo Mortensen never thought he would be one of those heroes. He never dreamed about reaching the Aragorn heights of fame, neither does he cling on that at any costs.
Viggo Mortensen appears to be the perfect artist. Modest and low profile, Viggo Mortensen came from underground of celebrity and now he’s riding with the big horses. But he assures us that all that will soon fade. (continue reading Viggo Mortensen’s story and check out the images and the video right after the jump! You can click here to see the gallery!)

Lady Gaga Does 944 Magazine
January 15th, 2010 by kpriss
Though I guess it’s a number of covers Lady Gaga will definitely reach one day (and I feel petrified at this thought only), 944 Magazine is actually a publication (and their February issue, called the Vanguard issue is also available online here). With Lady Gaga holding the cover.
Looking all bridal and pure, Lady Gaga pulls one of her plastic appearances, generously enhanced by cosmetics and post production processing. Remains perfectly Gaga while also militating for women’s powerful individuality:
“When I say to you, ‘There is nobody like me, and there never was,’ that is a statement I want every woman to feel and make about themselves,” […] “I don’t make it as a defense. I make it as, ‘OK, guys, it’s been two years, and I’ve made a lot of music, and I know my greatness is individual.’ And I want every woman to be able to say that.”
Umm.. okay, sounds great, how about you being feminine for a change? So we could actually see the woman in you, instead of the Lady Gaga Fame Monster? (via)
