Dare To Wear The Ikea Blue Bag Dress?
January 25th, 2010 by kpriss
Like many of you, I’m trying to get beyond the industrialization and unvarying of living that is Ikea. I, like many of you, am an Ikea Hacker wannabe.
Wannabe because I’ll never reach the heights featured in the following story! I’d like you to meet Adriana, a teacher from the Parsons School of Design. Adriana has designed a halter dress from one of those infamous blue Ikea bags! (click through to discover the story and more images!)
Lady Gaga Vs Marylin Manson
January 25th, 2010 by kpriss
While I was doing my daily rounds on the Internet, looking for something lovely and interesting to share I was struck by lightning! Could be that our very own Pantlessness Extraordinaire Lady Gaga be a Marilyn Manson fan?
The long lost rock renegade’s look is almost 100% Gaga’s look avec pants. What is going on and how haven’t I picked on that one before? Why hasn’t anyone? (click through to convince yourself that they’d made a lovely couple!) (photos via 1, 2, photochopping courtesy Stylefrizz)

Anna Paquin’s Alexander McQueen Dress 2010 SAG Awards
January 24th, 2010 by kpriss
I really want to make a special mention for a special dress that was proudly worn on the 2010 SAG Awards Red Carpet! Anna Paquin’s Alexander Mcqueen mini dress (custom made) with significant cleavage enhanced the already hypnotic gown.
As long as she’s not wearing the dangerous heels from the Spring Summer 2010 collection, Anna is all safe and, if I may say, the most daring and fresh appearance (not to mention uber trendy) from this 2010 edition of the Screen Actors Guild Awards (and such a happy choice in a sea of blue). What say you? (and yes, that’s Stephen Moyer, her current love interest and True Blood costar, more images right after the jump, click here for the gallery!) (photos via)

The Blue Dresses From 2010 SAG Awards
January 24th, 2010 by kpriss
There was definitely something blue in the air at the 2010 edition of the Screen Actors Guild Awards! So many blue, blue-ish gowns! Is blue the new black? Or just some silent way to bond without really telling us why?
Let me introduce you to the 2010 SAG Sea of Blue Dresses: Tina Fey! Charming Tina Fey opted for a knee-long blue Ferragamo dress with draped V-neck. Undoubtedly a great choice for she looked adorable holding up her award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series! (the story continues right after the jump with more images, click here for the blue SAG Awards 2010 gallery)

Drew Barrymore’s Monique Lhuillier Blue Dress For 2010 SAG Awards
January 24th, 2010 by kpriss
Drew Barrymore’s retro Red Carpet look didn’t impress me as much as I wanted it to. Because I like Drew Barrymore. But she sometimes makes some pretty strange outfit choices.
Take this blue custom Monique Lhuillier dress for example (she seems to have a weakness for Monique Lhuillier dresses)! It’s a flawless dress, if you take that second skirt off, the floor length bustier dress would be simply stunning. Instead of adding a spark of originality and a moment of breathless style, that short second skirt breaks Drew’s silhouette. Not in a good way. (Drew Barrymore was honored by the Screen Actors Guild for Grey Gardens’ Little Edie as Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries). Did you notice her right arm tattoo? A tiny bird? Had no idea she had it! (click through to see more images or go directly to the gallery here!) (photos via)
Julianna Margulies In Narciso Rodriguez Blue Dress For 2010 SAG Awards
January 24th, 2010 by kpriss
Though I have limited information about Julianna Margulies’ Good Wife series on CBS, I have to say I’m delighted her performance gets such recognition. I used to watch ER (way, way back) and she made me feel her every emotion, she’s a gifted actor, especially for dramatic parts (please feel free to speak against this conviction of mine, like I said, I have limited information about Julianna’s repertoire). Then again, she was honored by the Screen Actors Guild with a Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series, so that must say something!
She put on a stunning Red Carpet appearance for the 2010 edition of the SAG Awards, wearing a floor length blue velvet Narciso Rodriguez halter dress. Though it wasn’t far from a safe choice, Julianna’s simple styling did more for her than a heavy embellished one – she wore blueeee velvet… Well done, Julianna! (too bad for the heavy foundation, that must be a SAG thing – more images right after the jump!) (photos via)

Sandra Bullock’s Black Alexander McQueen Dress For 2010 SAG Awards
January 24th, 2010 by kpriss
After her previous Red Carpet appearances, Sandra Bullock finally made it right for the Screen Actors Guild Awards 2010 with a black gown from Alexander McQueen.
The vivid blue neck details make her (and the dress) stand out significantly even with all that foundation (doesn’t she look like a Grecian statue? Powdered and white?). With her hair swept back and minimal makeup (keeping her trademark accent on the eyes), Sandra Bullock was honored with a SAG award for her Blind Side: Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role. What do you think about her semi-safe McQueen lbd? (more images right after the jump, click here for the gallery!)

Diane Kruger’s Jason Wu Mustard Dress For 2010 SAG Awards
January 24th, 2010 by kpriss
I’m getting used to seeing Diane Kruger wearing something happy and bright on the Red Carpet! And I’m most happy to see such explosion of color in a sea of safe choices.
Diane Kruger chose a mustard Jason Wu dress for the Screen Actors Guild 2010 Awards and such a beautiful sight she was! Alongside her beau (that’s still Joshua Jackson, you may protest all you want, but you have to agree they make a beautiful couple – click through to convince yourself with more photos or simply click here for the gallery!), Diane Kruger received the SAG 2010 Award (with her Inglorious colleagues) for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. And I couldn’t agree more with the Screen Actors Guild for this one! (photos via)
