Christian Louboutin Fall Winter 2010 Ad Campaign By Khuong Nguyen

This year, two visual events were highly ranked in my memory (and in the world’s vision as well): James Cameron’s Avatar and Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. And even though I was respectfully in awe for the Pandora people, I feel most impressed by Alice.

Many arguments could flow for both camps, the truth is still a matter of subjectivity and personal opinion. However, if we’re to watch and draw conclusions, Tim Burton’s Alice was the one sure grasp over the fashion (and more) world’s imagination. Christian Louboutin’s Fall Winter 2010 collection is now officially campaigned with the courtesy of Khuong Nguyen under the title “Winter Tales”. Four Simple Rules Of Attraction By Dolce & Gabbana

There’s no little thing making a designer talk about what women should do to feel more beautiful, more powerful, more successful (aside from buying their clothes, of course). Dolce & Gabbana were in a mighty generous mood when they drew this 4 step guide to attain the maximum attraction potential (Sensuality – Shapes – Transparency – Softness – Seduction).

First Rule Of Attraction is based on vulnerability. In terms of fashion, vulnerability equals lingerie. Second Rule Of Attraction is based on your true personality. In fashion, this means layers. Especially when used in the same outfit with the first rule. (don’t miss the rest, right after the jump!)

Marion Cotillard Does Citizen K Russia Spring 2010

Lovely lady Marion Cotillard was featured in the Spring 2010 issue of Citizen K Magazine, the Russian edition. The atmosphere is Madonna for D & G and Marion looks adorable, even if she’s looking like she did her own styling (hair and makeup) and wore the clothes of her choosing.

There’s something in this kind of raw photo-styling I don’t get. Barely smiling, with domestic gestures and attitudes, the photos taken by Ruven Afanador have an aesthetic of their own, without any shadow of a doubt, charming. Can someone, please detail that aesthetic to me too? Thanks in advance. (more images right after the jump, click here for the gallery!) (photos via)

Madonna’s Dolce & Gabbana (Video) Ad

Rumor has it that forever young Madonna is filming an ad campaign for Dolce & Gabbana in Harlem these days. Images from the set have emerged and there they go.

Once more, before the retouching team doing its artistic job, here’s Madonna and some young toyboy, ahem model playing house for D & G. (those shoes really do no justice to her Madgesty legs) I’m loving the classic wavy hair, the dress and the bag. Let’s wait for the post-production team to kick in the official release! Soo curious how that’ll turn, aren’t you? (photos via)

Fred Leather Metallic Oxfords By Christian Louboutin

I’m either a flat shoes girl or a (very) high heels girl. There’s no inbetween for me. The Oxfords have been messing around the high trends section for some time now and I still resist. There’s something about those lace-up shoes keeping me back. I haven’t gave it enough thought as to figure out what exactly bounces me back from the Oxfords (do you wear any? Like them or not? Why?)

Christian Louboutin’s famous red soles signature can just as well be a flat sole and this time it’s an Oxford sole. Only they’re not exactly your average Oxfords, oh no! Look at these metallic wonders and tell me they don’t look just like candy! (the story continues right after the jump with more images! click here for the gallery!)

Nina Persson’s Fall 2010 Clothing Collection For Hope

There’s no mistake there! Cardigans’ Nina Persson has done a capsule collection for the Fall Winter 2010 season of Hope (a Swedish brand). Appx 10 styles will be available starting this very August 2010.

Inspired by Nina’s own personal wardrobe, the pieces have a vintage feeling, almost like you’d be reinventing wonders from the granny’s closet. Nothing really new, nothing really old, but for the love of the Cardigans, I’m willing to go for a positive feeling. What do you think? (Hope via Refinery29)

Fashion Designers In Cartoon Motion

There’s so much to say about the highly esteemed fashion designers who make the catwalks these days. Fashion talk, wisdom talk, fancy poses, stylish walks. But this tops them all!

A special cartooned feature was published in Elle Spain, the April 2010 issue. Drawings by Ulrich Schröder with famous characters such as Karl Lagerfeld (as Haute Couture’s Big Bad Wolf), Donatella Versace (as Daisy), Jean Paul Gaultier (as Donald Duck with a Breton top), Marc Jacobs (Donald Duck again, only this time wearing a skirt), Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana (as Mickey Mouse and Pluto, wearing flip flops and pensively sketching) and so much more! What to say about the crowd cheering from the First Row (and more)? All of Disney’s (and Pixar’s) characters have gathered round to see their favorite designers! Now this is some fashion magazine feature! Bravo, Elle Espana! (Ellington, remember when you said the Kaiser was a cartoon for you?) (more images right after the jump, click here for the gallery!) Jennifer Aniston’s Lolavie Perfume

Dealing with Fergie’s perfume piece – I’ve come across Jennifer Aniston’s Lolavie perfume. Also set to launch in June 2010 (it’s a formal month for new cosmetics? Just asking)

As I previously read about Jennifer’s perfume, Lolavie took eighteen months to come to life because Jennifer wanted to be in on every detail. Truth or legend, we may never find out, but the story will help selling out the product, of that I’m sure! While there’s no actual explanation for the perfume’s name, Jennifer Aniston assures us that it’s a personal thing, with a strong signification. (more right after the jump!)
