Juergen Teller Ad Campaign Wars Marc Jacobs Fall 2010 Vs Celine Fall 2010
July 27th, 2010 by kpriss
There’s little to surprise us when it comes to Marc Jacobs ad campaigns. Whether it’s for fall or spring, his ads always have something in common (and that, I think, will remain unchanged till the end of times): Juergen Teller.
This time, only, for the Fall Winter 2010/2011 Marc Jacobs season, Juergen Teller went off his head and did something almost good. And almost original. If you like this off-road kind of imagery. The trouble comes now: Celine Fall Winter 2010/2011. Doesn’t it look like a Marc Jacobs authentic? It does, doesn’t it? (it looked like that to me, when I first laid eyes on the pictures). Well, I have two words for that: Juergen Teller. He kept his best studio shots for Celine and took Marc Jacobs out. Atta boy! At least we can make the honest difference. How do you like his images? (I promised myself one day I’ll give a camera to my 2-year old baby girl! She’ll be snapping things stronger, bigger, better than Juergen!) (via)
Marry Me! The New Perfume By Lanvin
July 26th, 2010 by kpriss
I’m sure there’s a reason why Lanvin’s Marry Me! perfume comes out in the middle of the weddings season. I just think it’s brilliant and offensive at the same time.
Think about it! How many people do you know will find this perfume (well, its name) to be a great find and how many would smash the very perfume stands it’s presented on? We’re peacefully starting this week so I’ll stick with the facts, mkay? Those who’ll wear Lanvin’s Marry Me! can be easily recognized by the Tunisian orange and Sambac jasmine combination.
Peach and jasmine tea follows closely, magnolia blossom and rose petals melt in amber and musk final tones. The ad looks lovely, the bottle looks adorable. How about the message, then? (via)
Straight, Long Hair, The It Hair For Fall 2010
July 26th, 2010 by kpriss
Want to know the latest hair trends for the Fall Winter 2010/2011 season? Think straight and long!
After the frizzy-ness and the relaxed hairdos pouring in the summertime, the 2010 fall brings us a new slick aesthetic. Feminine is de retour with long braids (think Asley Greene mid-back long) and rigorously straight hair for an edgy, rocky attitude. Hairstylist advice:
To maintain movement and volume, iron more hair at a time, versus less. The finer the sections, the flatter your results will be. I wish I knew that before I gave my (last out of three) straightener away! Sigh! Oh well, I guess I’ll be keeping my summer hair this fall too. How about you? (via 1, 2)
Isabella Rossellini Bvlgari Bags
July 26th, 2010 by kpriss
Bvlgari bets on the big screen magic for their campaigns/products. Which is not necessarily a bad thing. After seeing Julianne Moore de-freckled body advertising for Bvlgari’s fall winter 2010/2011 bags and accessories, here’s Isabella Rossellini teaming up with their creative staff for a bags collection.
Isabella embodies one of those mythical, ageless, trendless beauties and pairing her with Bvlgari is quite an advertorial move. Showcasing her collection, there she goes, beautiful as always. (the bags will be available starting this August with prices from $1,700 to $2,600) In your opinion, will she increase those sales numbers for Bvlgari? (via)
Hangers Chandeliers. Would You?
July 26th, 2010 by kpriss
Every now and then you have to bend to the fashion of repurposing. As such, I’m inviting you to take a look at this special chandelier. Yes, that’s right, the one below!
It’s made of hangers! It’s so simple and beautiful, though, I could try wearing it in the comfort of my own living room. Or other-room. Designed and made by Miriam Zink, a young designer from (and based in) the Netherlands, the Light M Chandelier looks great and feels affordable ($206). I wonder how long till the diy courant democratizes that one too! Would you take this hangers chandelier at home with you? (you have to admit it’s much prettier than the other hangers chandelier we’ve seen before!) (via)
Angelina Jolie’s Red Versace Dress For Moscow Salt Premiere
July 26th, 2010 by kpriss
Now this is an Angelina Jolie story. About her and her wardrobe ways. And fashion clichés. Somewhat.
Angelina is on a wild promotional spree pushed by Sony into boldly getting Salt where no one has gone before. Moscow. Red Square. Red Dress. Angelina Jolie isn’t wearing her trademark black, black-ish, black & white-ish outfit! That really deserves some staring time. Salt, Angelina’s latest movie, premiered in Russia, Moscow and she worn a fire red Versace long dress for the occasion. I wouldn’t have seen her as a woman in red, would you? (photos via)

McDonalds Fashion Burger
July 26th, 2010 by kpriss
McDonalds and Fashion. Fashion and McDonalds? Naaaay. It can’t be! If you want to be surprised, though, click below and you’ll experience this unique fashion taste signed by McDonalds!
It’s a campaign created for the Japanese market, so don’t question much: Japan is fashion, from their tip down to their toes. If McDonalds don’t sale fashion in Japan, they might as well retire. I won’t be a spoiler now, however, you do have to share your dazzle with me afterwards – oh, and don’t miss the “male” version right after the jump! (via)
Giuseppe Zanotti Enters The Sneakers Business
July 25th, 2010 by kpriss
I pride myself with what I like to think it’s a generosity of perspective, especially when it comes to style and fashion. As generous as it is, though, my fashview is obstructed by the need to feel and look comfortable.
Thus, even though I fell completely head over heels for the skyscraping Giuseppe Zanoti leopard boots, I have to submit this heavy element of comfort to your attention. Giuseppe Zanotti suede and canvas studed sneakers, a Colette exclusive. Looking lovely and glamorous, the new sneakers have that city camouflage attitude I treasure when it comes to making a statement. Would you make the Zanotti sneakers statement?
