Knee Long Colored Socks. Trendy, Really?
August 20th, 2010 by kpriss
There’s something girlicious about long, colored cotton socks. Seeing a girl wearing them almost instantly reminds me of a cheerleader or pajamas parties. Not really related, but not worlds apart either.
If I take my reaction as a reference, I wasn’t ready to see long, knee long socks on men. I won’t take the trend’s fate on my shoulders and judge it off, so I’m bringing it to you instead: let’s take a look at this young man’s outfit: black shorts, blue buttoned office shirt, black shoes and long colored cotton socks. Let’s cast them votes right after the image! (photo via)

Hilary Duff’s Vera Wang Wedding Dress
August 19th, 2010 by kpriss
Looks like if you want a fashionable wedding, you’ll have to go for the mermaid wedding gown! Yesterday I was only suspecting this was the new wedding it (when showing Coco Rocha’s Zac Posen dress), today I can blindly swear on it: mermaid wedding dresses are the new it!
Hilary Duff just had her big w day and the bride wore… (drumroll please, this is going to be such a surprise!) Vera Wang! A hand painted silk tulle and organza dress that complimented her silhouette, complexion and matched perfectly the garden ceremony atmosphere. (Hilary wedded her long time beau, hockey player Mike Comrie, naturally congratulating the happy couple, we’re happy to have had a glimpse at their special moment and admire that gorgeous Vera dress that you can admire even more after the jump!) Carolina Herrera’s Carolina Hererra Fall Winter 2010 2011 Ad Campaign
August 19th, 2010 by kpriss
I know that if you’ll think it through, you’ll see just why Carolina Herrera’s Fall Winter 2010 2011 ad campaign has a zebra in it. And if you’ll have the answer, please share, I have no clue!
Either way, the campaign’s true star, the zebra, is accompanied by Carolina Herrera (daughter of Carolina Herrera, the designer) and she couldn’t care less about matching her metallic silver dress to the black and white striped zebra. It’s all about the spirit, not the color, right? It’s a mad, mad ad world out there!(via)
Kanye West And The Men In Black
August 19th, 2010 by kpriss
So MTV VMAs are approaching big time and Kanye West is feeling the urge to repent. Repeeeeent! And so he found a new way to show just how much a new man he is now, and how different he really is from the Kanye we all know and love: Kanye Imma Lechu Finish.
He’s now Kanye West, the Man in Black. Alongside his pack of Men in Black (in Dior Men, actually, but who’s counting labels?) he has started the “Rosewood Movement” clean act. Yo Kanye? Imma lechu finish, but Tom Ford makes the best men suits of all time, of all time! (via 1, 2)
Ralph Lauren, What Have You Done To Bar Refaeli Now?
August 19th, 2010 by kpriss
Some photoshoppers just can’t seem to get it right, no matter what! It’s either that, or whoever’s supervising the marketing dep chez Ralph Lauren has serious optical issues!
We know what happened in the past, we were part of the buzz created and we were sincerely hoping that the future might hold something better! Well, here’s Bar Refaeli for Ralph Lauren. Um. What? Something wrong? (to be honest, it looks like they pasted her head on someone else’s body. The head/body proportions are just… not right!) (RL via pd)
Repetto For Opening Ceremony Shoes Collection Fall 2010
August 19th, 2010 by kpriss
What’s your heart set on for this fall? Shoes – wise? I’m temporarily bound to flat shoes (yes, Mr. Bruno Frisoni, I’m pro flats this fall but not because you had me convinced high heels won’t work anymore but because of my pregnancy) so, logically, any ballerina news flips my attention.
Repetto and Opening Ceremony worked on a collection for this 2010 fall that seems to illustrate just what we were talking about yesterday: modest heels make this fall’s hottest trends. Animal print ballerinas and western booties. How do you find the new OC Repetto collaboration (do hit the jump to see more, larger, better)? (how much is it, you say? Well, count $400 for the flat ballerina shoes and $500 for the Kadinsky Western booties)
Marion Cotillard Does Vogue Paris September 2010
August 19th, 2010 by kpriss
Gotcha! You were waiting for some famous, gorgeous model, weren’t you? I was, I really was! I was curious who’s going to crown the Fall Fashion issues of them all with a Vogue Paris September 2010 cover! I wasn’t expecting Marion Cotillard!
But then again – she’s so big right now, Marion. She wasn’t the central character in Inception but still she played a significant role. And then there’s the French pride: Hollywood was submerged by a French Actress! How chic! How fashionable. Not. So, not hiding my surprise – even if you know how I feel about Marion – don’t you feel that a Fashion issue must be more about fashion than any other? (well, it’s the first image from the issue, I’ll try to keep my calm until the next ones arrive) (photo via)

The New Windows Fashion

I tried so hard to come up with a title that won’t give anything away from what’s next! Watch the video below and tell me if it worked!
I will tell you this, though: take a seat (a comfortable one) and get ready to be amazed for the following two minutes! And I mean Ahhmazed with a capital A! There’s a bit more info right after the jump! Now, when you’re ready – press play! (Inception who?)
