I know this comes a day after Monday and I’m fully aware that in order to maximize its effect, you should have read it yesterday. However, I’m taking the risk and assuming the week isn’t all that up and running yet.
So, for a bad case of the Mondays, read this little note and maybe, just maybe, you’ll feel better. About Monday and about yourself. What? by stylish food you mean three salad leaves and two and a half nuts bonus five seeds? Yeah, not me, no sireee! I’m thinking butter, sugar and cream. And decadently tasty foods!
So here’s to that! and to a wonderful cake! The Rooooose cake! I don’t even care it looks wedding-ly and too white (those who feel bothered by that, after the jump there’s slightly rose-ish rendition of the same cake)! Alexander Herchocovitch Fall Winter 2011 2012 Collection

If you were looking for a fall-ish collection, look no further! Alexandre Herchocovitch Fall Winter 2011 2012 is the one to see! It’s gray ish enough, black ish enough to make even the happiest soul turn pale and somber.
The designer said his inspiration for this dark collection came from volcanoes, and volcanic ashes. Here too, lace accents and neon colors (yes, there’s a neon yellow passing through the Herchocovitch catwalk once or twice, by the time you rub your eyes to take a better look, it’s already gone) and spotty sweaters. Not bad, I just wish he would’ve been more playful about his approach. (images from the entire collection here)

What? No, it’s not a joke! Of course it is Sofia Vergara! I mean look at her! She’s so beautiful and curvy! What? Where are the curves? Noooo, the hat is not curvier than she is, don’t be mean!
So what if the Photoshop guys took it a little too far in trying to make Sofia Vergara as skinny as the new Diet Pepsi Skinny Can? So what if she doesn’t look anything remotely similar to the real Sofia Vergara? We still love her and we’ll watch Modern Family no matter what! And since you’re asking – there’s a very small chance I’d be getting this Diet Pepsi Skinny Can! My family loves me just the way I am, you see… (via)

Cashmere rain parka, how come I didn’t think of that earlier? Oh, Alexander Wang, thank you for this playful Fall Winter 2011 2012 collection! It’s hardly wearable (in my parcel of fashion world) but it’s truly a charming one.
With dark colors and sheer moods, Alexander Wang‘s catwalk was a perfect rendition of a sartorial playground with mixing and matching surprising fabrics, interesting allies of style, shape and texture. The Model, The Fur Coat And The Mobile Phone

What we have here, daaahlings, is a typical display that could easily make the headlines of any men magazine, anywhere in the world. A gorgeous model, blond hair, blue eyes, heavy makeup wearing a fur coat (which will make any man out there speculate whether she has anything else on or not) and not one but two mobile phones!
How can one pass the opportunity to admire and discuss this great image? I wish I knew who took it! (I guess you’ve recognized the model – Abbey Lee Kershaw; I’m also guessing one of the phones is an iPhone hidden in a big black case – the other, I’m not so sure – if you know anything about the other device, or both of them, by all means, any help is greatly appreciated!) There’s something charming about the new Fall Winter 2011 2012 collection from A Detacher. A feeling of vintage poetry reading party, something sweet and innocent but in the same time timeless and charged.
Grannie’s closet has never looked so geeky and autumnal. I’m loving the long, knitted scarves and cardis. I think they bring an aura of sweetness, warmth and coziness just like your grannie’s chicken stock. Or strawberry jam. It’s a goodies collection, that one! One to keep close for inspiration!
