Nicole Kidman’s White Dior Dress For 2011 Oscars

Nicole Kidman pulled her hair together in a sleek, straight do for the 2011 Oscars Red Carpet. She looked every inch her gorgeous, happy self and she was wearing a masterpiece of a dress from the Christian Dior Spring Summer 2009 Haute Couture collection.

I remember the collection and, most of all, I remember it fondly for it was a gorgeous sartorial exploit. Nicole attended the Oscars with her husband, Keith Urban, spreading their radiance and good moods. How daring of Nicole to put on those bright red shoes! Unexpected, wouldn’t you agree? Mandy Moore’s Monique Lhuillier Sequined Tulle Dress For 2011 Oscars

I really like Mandy Moore! She’s a gorgeous young lady with a heart of gold! And an amazing smile! I just wish she had an equally dazzling stylist!

Mandy walked the 2011 Oscars Red Carpet in a sheer sequined Monique Lhuillier dress. It’s a slightly modified model than the one originally presented in Monique Lhuillier’s Spring Summer 2011 collection (though the pattern and the cut make a redundant theme in Monique Lhuillier’s collection, similar dresses being presented in the Pre Fall 2011 and the Fall Winter 2011 2012 collections) . The dress wouldn’t have been so bad in itself, but pairing it with those earrings and that hairdo makes it all just bland, with a pinch of wrong. I keep obsessing about those earrings – am I the only one who thinks they don’t fit Mandy? (more images right after the jump, click here for the gallery!) (photos via 1, 2)

Hilary Swank In Gucci Sequined Degrade Dress For 2011 Oscars

Sequins were big for the 2011 Oscars edition! Wherever you look, you’ll see sequins (and beads). Sparkling little sequins covering all kinds of dresses. Hillary Swank was wearing (what else but) a sequined silver degrade dress from Gucci Premiere, the Haute Couture label of the Gucci house.

The dress suits her wonderfully and she’s a complete showstopper on the Red Carpet. Have you seen that brooch in her hair? Totally something to pick up for home styling! (more images right after the jump, click here for the gallery!) (photos via)

Halle Berry’s Sequined Marchesa Dress For 2011 Oscars

Continuing the sheer sparkling styling moods of the 2011 Oscars edition is Halle Berry strongly representing Marchesa for the night. Impeccably beautiful, wearing a custom made dress, Halle’s radiance also came from the heavy sequins embellishments on the dress bodice.

Tulle and sequins always seem to win the women’s hearts, especially for a Red Carpet event. And even if she wasn’t part of the nominations list, Halle was one of the best dressed of the night. What a gorgeous woman! (more images after the jump, click here for the gallery!) (photos via)

Michelle Williams In Sheer Beaded Chanel Dress For 2011 Oscars

Talking about sparkling hues of sheer silver, Michelle Williams really impressed me tonight. Not because she was looking really lovely, which she always does, but also because she chose a very precious gown from the Chanel Spring 2011 Haute Couture collection.

Walking the 2011 Oscars Red Carpet, the beads sewn on her dress were shining bright, calling for so much attention, you could hardly take your eyes off of Michelle. Beautiful lady, beautiful dress. Oscars, Haute Couture. Perfect match! Can anyone disagree? (more images right after the jump, click here for the gallery!) (photos via 1, 2)

Gwyneth Paltrow Silver Sequined Calvin Klein Dress For 2011 Oscars

Breaking the red hues we’ve seen at this 2011 edition of the Oscars, here’s Gwyneth Paltrow to show us how sparkling is done on the Red Carpet! She’s so flawless, it hurts!

Wearing a silver sequined Calvin Klein dress, Gwyneth is as close to perfection as humanly possible. Donning her usual sleek flat hairdo, Gwyneth Paltrow’s sparkling dress comes with matching wide smile, adding more beauty and charisma to the 2011 Oscars Red Carpet. Notice how she matched her waist brooch, ring and her earrings (which were all from Louis Vuitton’s L’ame du Voyage collection)? Totally unexpected! Scarlett Johansson In Purple Lace Dolce & Gabbana Dress For 2011 Oscars

The 2011 Oscars Red Carpet was definitely on the Red side. From soft pink to purple, you can see all kinds of red hues tonight! One of the proud representatives of the red trend was Scarlett Jonahsson.

She was every inch the glamorous lady she usually is, wearing her unique purple lace Dolce & Gabbana dress. Looking less playful and more lady – ish, Scarlett opted for a casual hair undo and smoky eyes makeup. Also – is it just me, the optical illusion of the contour lace of the dress or is Scarlett looking more slender than usual? (more images right after the jump, click here for the gallery!) Anne Hathaway’s Red Valentino Dress For 2011 Oscars

On the 2011 Oscars arrivals Red Carpet, Anne Hathaway pulled a complete stunner with her red Valentino (vintage) couture gown! And not just that – she was accompanied by Valentino Garavani himself, who proudly gazed at her while she was posing for the cameras.

With her latest flick in mind (Love and other…) I can’t help but think Anne Hathaway looks far better with wavy hair. Sadly, that’s the way of the spotlight – no frizz accepted on the Red Carpet, especially for an Oscar night! Have you seen the movie? Doesn’t she look prettier with wavy hair?
