We used to do this.. Remember? Now I’ll try a different approach. The mix and match approach. I was looking for something easy to wear in the summer heat (yeah, I’m daydreaming about hot summer days all daaaay long! I miss running around in the backyard in full sprinklers with the kids and, most of all, I miss the garden parties!
Anyway, getting back to our Outfit of the Day selector – it’s a mix and match approach, like I said – take any of the outfits and pair it with any of the accessories. They work well together and serve a varied specter of purposes – from day to day wear to day to night or even cocktails. It’s been fun putting this together and I hope you’ll like it. Remember the last time we talked about Disney legends and the amazing Annie Leibovitz photography? It’s that time again and we’re having the great opportunity to get back to that amazing state of things by looking at the new series released by Disney.
Queen Latifah is Ursula (The Little Mermaid), Penelope Cruz is the Beauty and Jeff Bridges the transformed prince (Beauty and the Beast) and Olivia Wilde is the Evil Queen while Alec Baldwin is the Spirit of the Magic Mirror (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs). Truly magical, beyond beautiful, this is another splendid series from Disney, courtesy of Annie Leibovitz (and some serious computer enhancements). You know that much awaited commercial for Miss Dior Cherie with Natalie Portman, directed by the brilliant Sofia Coppola? It’s out for everyone to watch. So let’s do it!
I wonder how Natalie feels right now, in the light of recent Dior events. Would she renew her Miss Dior contract if asked? Would she ever agree to represent any other product for any other label again? Otherwise, the commercial is pretty and very Sofia Coppola, a bit surprising, even, given the strong music for the overall ethereal atmosphere. I for one, like it very much. (even though I prefer the balloons commercial – I think it’s way more playful and joyful – how about you?)

Before you get all fussed up about it – no, it’s not a joke! And yes, I can see how insensitive and out of fashion I may be, talking about a gold bicycle in full Fashion Week season. and still…

It’s a mugshot of a geek in all its glorified splendor dating as far back as 77! 1977. The geek in question is none other but Bill Gates. Yes! That Bill Gates! The mugshot happened in Albuquerque, New Mexico, following a traffic violation. I’m sure he vowed never to go back again and to get rich beyond anyone’s wildest imagination. That’s when it happened, I’m sure.
Also – there’s no mugshot like a geek mugshot – look at him smiling! maaan! I bet they told him “think computers”! (photo via)

In all my Transformers adventures with the kids, I haven’t dreamed of seeing something even remotely similar, only fashion related! So to see this “made by Chanel” brings the awesomeness to an entire new level! Even though the cosmetics giants go green and bio, following the new trends (meeting the consumers demands, more and more interested in organic cosmetics), I do not mind the tech interpretation at all.
In fact, I downright love this robotic perspective! My daaahlings, don’t miss the Chanel Animation 2011! It’s a great way to start a great week!) (via)

You know you want to see it (that is if you haven’t already – in which case I must warn you you’re in for a entire sequence of mad, mad fashion. 7 min and then some with no other soundtrack except Gaga’s next album’s pieces and no other visual other than Thierry Mugler Fall Winter 2011 2012 fashion show. It can be demanding.)
Everyone is applauding Gaga‘s modelling moment from Thierry Mugler. It’s just as stage enhanced as any other of her representations. Don’t be fooled, this show has been touched by Gaga so it will turn in gold in no time! (don’t you just love the black segment of the show? It was my favorite, by far!)
