How About Salma Hayek’s Nuance Beauty Line

Last we talked about Salma Hayek, you said something I wasn’t aware of and took me by surprise completely! Salma has had plastic surgery! Who knew? I sure didn’t! I had no idea she had a breast job done, especially since I always was under the impression she was an all natural beauty!

Oh well… being married to a fashmogul can change a person! Talking about a fashmogul – news have emerged that Salma has teamed up with CVS (US second largest pharmacy chain) and she’s launching a beauty line called Nuance.

Nuance is about anti ageing products with prices ranging from $7,99 – 14,99 (hitting the stores this very August) and took three years to develop with Salma being completely involved in the process (remember she broke off with Bernard, her now-husband and then get back together appx three years ago? Makes you wonder what was written in the prenup, eh?) (via)

Time has passed since I last featured Alicia Keys here. She’s been pretty busy with her baby and husband so it’s not a surprised that she somehow laid low for a while.

Well it would appear that Alicia is now back and ready to conquer the world again, one cover at the time. She’s starting with Essence June 2011 where she’s posing in immaculate white and talking about her baby and “the love that changed everything”. Now if you ask me, I would love to see some pics of her with her baby – has anyone seen her precious boy? (Essence via)

The road from catwalk to sofa isn’t as long as we would suspect it would be. Don’t think too far, however, it’s about fashion designers taking the home decoration route. They’re loving the challenge and we’re loving the aesthetics (and I’m loving my Inbox goodies, thanks to our friend, Ellington, who keeps me posted with some hard to resist eyecandies!)

However, as adorable and amazing it could be, you must remember that, as any other designer thing, the new home collections are also pricey. The Roche Bobois name alone is giveaway enough to ask yourself if you’re willing to pay the price of a decent (used) car for a sofa.

Furthermore, there’s not much to ad except the images that speak enough about the collection’s adorability factor. Sonia Rykiel Maison is alarmingly beautiful and I stand by that once more, with the official launch of her Roche Bobois collection! (via)

Don’t think about it twice, reading the title is all it takes to convince you to raid your mum’s closet! Consider yourself warned – the chunky, high heels are back and smoking hot this 2011 Summer!

I’m not sure where the Stiletto girls stay in relation to the new fashionable retro heel, but I sure am happy to see it back! The chunky platforms which used to be praised back in the 60s and 70s have made a powerful comeback in fashion. Colorful platform high heeled shoes make my heart flutter! How do you like’em? This is one special piece of how-to I came across today. A guide to the Summer Office Wardrobe from Michael Kors! So you won’t have any excuse for not being completely stylish and fashionable at the office this summer! Few simple, key rules to work your wardrobe around:

Freshen up your outfit with a single bright colored piece (cardi / shirt or skirt, never together). Wear sandals, never flip flops! Adjust your accessories to the season – forget the black, dark bags and somber accessories. Wear outfits that will allow you (and your skin) to breathe – not too tight, not too short. We know she was filming the ad, we even know Mario Testino was the photographer who took her pictures for the campaign! Now we finally have an image to associate with Emma Watson’s advertising campaign for Lancome Tresor Midnight Rose Perfume.

She looks fresh and lovely and that’s the same thing she has to say about how the fragrance smells: “I didn’t really like perfumes before because I thought they were heavy, but this one is really light and playful.”. I don’t know about you, but just like Natalie Portman’s Miss Dior Cherie ad (the print version), I find Emma Watson‘s Lancome Tresor Midnight Rose’s look adorable! (or is it just me?) After seeing so many Red Carpet hits at the Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute Gala, my eyes were perplexed at the sight of lovely Kat Dennings attending the Thor premiere.

Wearing a very soft beige very figure hugging dress, Kat was almost spilling out of her décolleté. There’s such a fine line between dressing in style and out of style that maybe, some people don’t see things clear. Not even with the help of a stylist (which undoubtedly is Kat Dennings’ case). Kat, we love you dearly, please pick outfits that won’t make us believe you wanted to be across the street at Hooters instead of promoting Thor! (photos via)
