Burberry Foldable Brights Sunglasses

For those of us who love a good classic Wayfarer, there’s a new, hipster alternative to the old Ray Ban. Burberry! Yes, Burberry makes sunglasses! And not just any sunglasses – behold the Burberry Brights Foldable Sunglasses!

I have to say the shades are looking pop – fresh and well adjusted for the ever shrinking size of our city bags, not to mention the foldable feature. Undoubtedly one of my favorite items for this season, the Burberry Brights Foldable Sunglasses are available online for $340 (210GBP) here. Is it worth it? (via)

Saskia De Brauw, Baptiste Giabiconi Chanel Cruise 2010 Ad Campaign By Karl Lagerfeld

You strongly advised me to go around the Chanel Cruise 2012 Collection because it was an all white catwalk. And I did. Because I don’t appreciate all white catwalks. They’re like a meal with no pepper and just salt. It lacks… something! That special something that’ll put the pedal on your circulatory system, making it all go faster, better, tastier.

But have you seen the ad campaign? The Chanel Cruise 2012 Ad Campaign as photographed by Karl Lagerfeld? With Saskia de Brauw and, biensur, Baptiste Giabiconi? Saskia, the girl pushed by Carine just before she left office chez Vogue Paris? It’s like Karl is taking whatever is shoved in his face… Sure, Saskia is lovely, she’s expressive and versatile. But why didn’t der Kaiser discovered before Carine got her to cover Vogue Paris? (not to mention how tired we grew of Baptiste?) (photos via)

Flash Fashion Breakfast Video: Breakfast. Interrupted

Don’t you just love it when some (good) things go viral and you watch them and enjoy their viral magic? It’s one of my weekly pleasures: seeing what goes down the viral path of the interwebs! It’s like a flash fashion thing: for few days, something must be seen, must be laughed of, must be enjoyed!

And this week it’s something absolutely spectacular! Something the title doesn’t describe in full justice “Breakfast Interrupted”, as fancy schmancy as it could be! This is one video you’ll play on and on and on! Did I mention how charming the music is? Do press play! (be warned: you might get hungry while watching this video! All kinds of yummy things floating around! Also you can check out the behind the scenes magic here) (via)

Nicholas Kirkwood Keith Haring Shoes Collection With Swarovski

Nicholas Kirkwood shoes are already a fashionista must, so a collaboration between Nicholas and Keith Haring through his legacy is hardly something to pass out on. Thanks to our dear friend Ellington, I got the Inbox goodies to offer you, my fashion loving ladies, a fashtreat in every meaning of the word (and image)!

The word about the magical collaboration started spreading from September last year and even though some of the designs were made public back then, it’s way more impressive seeing the amazing shoes collaboration in its entirety. (click through for more goodies and a video with Nicholas Kirkwood himself explaining the collaboration, courtesy of Swarovski! Priceless!)

June 2011 Magazines Covers And Mothers. Marie Claire And Allure

It’s not what you would expect from fashion magazines getting ready for summer, isn’t it? Marie Claire June 2011 and Allure June 2011 both feature pregnant stars on their covers. Which could be great. Only it’s not. Why?

First because Ginnifer Goodwin and Kate Hudson on Marie Claire June 2011 cover is happening because they did a movie together? (Something Borrowed). Which is perfectly alright with me, only the cover comes a bit late, the movie has ceased to be a novelty for a while now (it has premiered in theaters for almost two weeks now) and is truly inaccurate: Kate Hudson is currently pregnant in her (I think) ninth month! Hence, a far cry from the cover silhouette! (don’t miss January’s cover right after the jump!)

Alison Brie’s Cleavage Disaster

We’ve talked about this a while ago and you weren’t all sure it was right to call this kind of cleavage a fashion disaster. You even thought it was bad fashion behavior to point out the style faux pas in wearing a too – tight to breathe – in dress on the red carpet (or anywhere else for that matter).

However, I’m forced to get back on the matter, seeing Alison Brie adhering to the same too – tight – to – breathe – in trend at a recent NBC event (Alison is part of the Community cast). How is she anywhere near fashionable, presentable with that cleavage? I’m sure there are so many dresses out there that would make her look less corseted, and I’m equally convinced this look doesn’t have anything to do with her breast size. Which is, yes, generous. But that doesn’t imply she has to stick her assets in anyone’s face, does it? (photos via)

What Decimates Bees?

All fashion issues and Red Carpet buzz aside, I’m guessing you might have heard about the Bees Issue. It has become a very sensitive matter since the bees number across the world continues to drop alarmingly in the last years (the bees population has dropped with 50% in the last 30 years, at least in the U.S. and the U.K.).

Studies have been conducted, statements have been released, some saying that some fertilizers are responsible for the bees killing spree as the said substances contain something deathly for the bees. Now some other research has surfaced saying that bees are killed by the signals of our very own cell phones!

When ringing, the signals emitted act as danger transmitters for the bees, urging them to leave their hive. However, the frequency of the cell phones in use (transmitting, aka in conversation) disorients the bees, pushing them to act erratically and to drop dead, suddenly. I’m confused. Is that real? Because if it is, it’s catastrophic! (via)

Two covers are available thus far, no indication on which will be actually published or if they will both see the light of day. However, if you’re interested, the book is already available for preorder here.
