Daniel Radcliffe’s Brotherhood Of Man At Tonys 2011. Life After Harry Potter

Talking about life after Harry Potter and whether that is possible or not got me thinking about Daniel Radcliffe and his Broadway involvement in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. He gave an outstanding performance at the American Theatre Wing’s Tony Awards 2011 singing and dancing “Brotherhood of Man”, living the act like it was written especially for him and not some fifty years ago!

I haven’t seen the musical, personally, so I’m just judging from this video’s perspective: is there really life after HP? More than in fashion magazines, at least? (HTSIBWRT via)

WTForever21? Bloggers In Arms

When it comes to the blogosphere and the big brands, there’s two way to handle the blog heat: you either make friends with the devil – the lil’ bloggers are like ants – little but oh – so – many! Or you use whatever legal means at your disposal – authentic or fake like colored stage candy smoke to bring the lil’ bloggers at your mercy.

While the big names of the fashion industry (and more) use the first strategy in an attempt to befriend the lil’ fash antz, Forever21 took the liberty to use the latter and tried to absurdly, forcefully take down WTForever21dotcom by claiming copyright infringement and such big legal bazingas. With no real fundament whatsoever. Why would such a big brand be shaking over one lil’ blogger? We love you, WTForever21! Stay with us!

Christina Aguilera And Beyonce Cover W Magazine July 2011

July looks like a good month for Fashion Magazines! And their subscribers / buyers. Here’s another example, after Dazed and Confused and Vogue, that Fashion is not going on vacation this summer: W Magazine July 2011 With Beyonce and Christina Aguilera on the cover! On a double cover issue!

Beyonce on one side, playing her power woman soldier thing and Christina Aguilera on the other, taking the virginal, artsy side of fashion with a pretty cover and pictorial. Clearer, high quality pictures are yet to surface, we only have this so far, and the knowledge that both covers were photographed by Mert and Marcus. Which one is your favorite if you had to choose one? (I think I’d go for Christina, although her clothesless appearance is nothing new to the world; click the image for larger picture, more images right after the jump, click here for the gallery!) Angelina Jolie’s Louis Vuitton Core Values Ad Campaign By Annie Leibovitz

The long awaited ad campaign from Louis Vuitton starring Angelina Jolie is officially out. The Core Values campaign photographed by Annie Leibovitz with Angelina is placed in Cambodia, in the Siem Reap province (Angelina’s eldest son, Maddox, is from Cambodia and the actress discovered the country while filming her first set of Tomb Raider adventures).

A very special interview is also set to accompany the print campaign. The reports say that although the Louis Vuitton Alto bag Angelina is carrying was discontinued, it will most certainly be produced again (and a certified best seller, since Angelina is carrying it). But that’s not the most important or interesting thing the reports state. Check this and tell me what you think – honest typo or more?

[…] an interview with Jolie that will be posted later in the month. In it, she is expected to discuss how her visit to Cambodia was a life-changing experience, awakening her to the plight of Third World countries. She adopted her eldest son, Maddox, from Cambodia and she and husband Brad Pitt established the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation, which is active in community development and conservation in the country.

Karen Elson And Jack White To Divorce?

I came across a nice little invite (while browsing the interwebs, don’t jump off of your seat now – wink) to Karen Elson and Jack White’s very special celebration.

What do the lovely Karen and Jack celebrate? More accurately put – what did they celebrate since the event took place on June 10th? Their 6th anniversary! Aaaaand (drum roll!) their upcoming divorce! How is that possible? They’re throwing a party to honor both their 6th year together and the end of their togetherness? I’m puzzled? And a bit sad… Take a look for yourself at the very invite and say if you think it’s a joke of some (horrific) kind! (via)

Emma Watson’s Vogue July 2011

Have you seen Emma Watson’s Vogue cover? And her subsequent pictorial? Because if you haven’t, it’s only fair to warn you that it’ll soon be allover the place. Emma Watson is coming to a newsstand near you, on the cover of Vogue July 2011.

As photographed by Mario Testino and styled by Camilla Nickerson, Emma Watson is determined to show us (with a little help from Anna Wintour, biensur) that there’s life after Harry Potter. I for one, I believe her! There’s just one problem, though – I can’t take my eyes off of that lipstick? Can you? (there’s more after the jump, click here for the gallery!) (there’s a very interesting interview with Emma, about her and what she wants to do which you can read here; via)

Hot This Summer: Baring Your Midriff!

Have you heard what the big thing of the season is? Baring your Midriff! It’s something you may remember from thirty something years ago? (I’m writing this and I can’t believe it – it all seems to be so yesterday? Literally! Time should really be given a speed ticked, maybe it’ll slow down?)

I was alarmed by the midriff showing tendencies from last year but I said to myself it will never actually catch on the fashion people, so stylish and pretentious! I was wrong, it seems! Showing off your belly button is one of the hot fashion trends this summer! How do You feel about it? (the Muse Fashionart Magazine Summer 2011 cover is graced by Anne Vyalitsyna as photographed by Harri Peccinotti; via)

Beyonce Is Dazed And Confused, July 2011

Queen Bee is out on the cover of Dazed and Confused defending her pop icon status and melting the world one ice cream at the time… ahem.. one song at the time. One picture at the time. Um, whatever, Beyonce is Dazed and Confused this July 2011! Let’s take a look at the cover as photographed by Sharif Hamza, styled by Karen Langley and then jump for the content (or the gallery, here)!

I like Beyonce. I do. She’s as part of our life as the very ice cream she’s holding. But I never really understood why she dons this horrific blond hair (lacefront, you name it) every now and then! I know, this time it falls into the pop styling thing, and still? Doesn’t it look strange? A bit? Teeny tiny bit? (Dazed via)
